Cortex 10 trial and failure

Tried out Cortex 10, interface was great and I enjoyed all the new features to the launcher a lot!

Unfortunately, I experienced massive performance issues in-game when launching out of Cortex 10, and have reverted to the standard release, which has resolved the issue.

GPU: RTX 2060 Super
Games: Lost Ark, usually average 110 FPS over playtime, averaged 30 FPS when playing out of Cortex 10
Halo Infinite, usual average 90 FPS, down to around 60 FPS out of Cortex 10

Both games run fine out of standard Cortex, but suffered out of Cortex 10, and I am just curious if anyone has had the same issue or found a workaround?

As it is a beta release I'm not overly concerned, as standard works fine. Just figured I'd throw a dart out here to see if there was a way to get the program compatible for actual boosting. Did not post for support as it is not an actual issue with the standard release working just fine.

Thanks!

The RAM Gains of "razer cortex" and similiar programs are explainable easily.

It is shutting background processes down.

So if you trim windows down and remove anything 3rd party from startup (antivirus, steam, discord, blah blah) It does absolutely nothing.

Clean your pc and stop running absolutely everything that is not vital. You will get even better ram usage.

Simple stuff indeed, and thank you for your reply! I actually generally do keep most things shut off by default. The convenience of Cortex is one single launcher for all games in my library. My concern was identifying the reason why my frames would be completely normal out of the current build of Cortex, but would take a hit when launching out of Cortex 10, as they both perform the same processes.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this issue has caused you! I have sent you a PM. Please check it and see whether the method works. Thank you!
I noticed Cortex using the GPU without explanation while just sitting idle. I uninstalled it. I can turn the power settings up myself. I just hope windows game mode turns off windows update by itself.

Im trying to use Booster Prime with some games to increase digital vibrance but it says that the "option isnt available with my graphics card." I have a RTX 3050, my friend also has a RTX 3050 and his works. Is there any reasoning behind mine doesnt work?

Thank you for sharing your concern with us in this thread.

Before we start could you please update your drivers and see whether the issue persists? Also, could you please let us know whether you and your friend all installed Razer Cortex 10 beta?

We look forward to your reply.

I'm on Razer Cortex v. 10.0.249.0. I'm having terrible performance issues. On the Cortex v. 9 everything was fine. If I could, I'd downgrade it to the 9 but the installer doesn't let me do it...
I'm using a Razer Blade 15 laptop with RTX 3070, with up-to-date drivers and I've tried everything on my end to fix the problem. I've tried messaging support, but it didn't help since they gave me instructions for steps I'd already tried beforehand.
Could sb from the Official staff please note it down as one more thing to be fixed with the next update...

I tried those but unfortunately my issue still persists... What should I do. My problem is FPS drops and stutters, especially in GTA V.

Thank you for your feedback. We will update you when receiving a response from our engineering team.

having a simlar issue and i have a 3090 and amd ryzen 5950x so i shouldnt have any performance issues. Previous version of cortex optimised perfectly. I had no audio/video stutters. This version those are back. I suspect a windows process, something is dipping the power somewhere or hogging it to cause the drops. And before you ask about the audio stuff ive tried all the recommended steps including formatting my pc , it still comes back 🙂 previous razer cortex was what helped fix the issue. This one doesnt anymore.

Hey there!

Thank you for bringing this issue to us.

When you say you have a similar issue, do you mean that you have a performance issue with Razer Cortex when you played GTA V? Or do you mean this issue occurred when you play another game?

To help you quickly resolve this issue, please follow the below steps:
1. Disable the CUSTOMER DISPLAY feature in GAME BOOSTER > IN-GAME.
2. Disable Auto-Boost in GAME BOOSTER > BOOST.
3. Disable the features "Monitor FPS and generate chart when a game ends" and "Show a desktop message with my maximum FPS after playing a game" in GAME BOOSTER>IN-GAME.
4. Use another FPS tool such as the Steam In-game tool to record your FPS and see whether this issue persists?

If this issue persists after you tried all the above steps, please feel free to PM us your Cortex logs:

Thanks will try and see what happens. I dont think i can use steam. Its happening with world of warcraft classic. The stutter issue i believe is a known problem (still happens occasionally when i watch youtube).I know this is an issue that might be related to ryzen , but previous cortex version seemed to counter this and i was happily gaming without any audio/video fps stutter. This has come back since updating to this new cortex.
