cortex reward streak

    Just wanna point out that technically, if you lose your streak you probably lose more than 1000 zSilver too. Like, if your streak resets, then you lose out on daily zSilver, right? Unless you already count that in - the way I see it, the zSilver you can get by voting on daily matches on average could be around 100 zSilver

    I think it's possible they removed the warning, because they thought it was fixed.
    Because in the morning I had 0 zSilver balance, then few hours later I had the balance visible but collecting my zSilver was still disabled.
    And after that the balance disappeared again as well.

    Thanks for this post. I was wondering about this myself as I've only just started and would have finally reached my max 40z silver streak today.
    In all honesty though, if I do end up losing my streak from the server issues today, I still won't mind.
    I think Razer have done a great job with the idea of Cortex and "Paid to play" and setting me back a few days to build up a streak again is fine by me considering all the zSilver is basically given to us all for free anyway.

    With the combined loss of 40 - cortex daily, 30 - arena, 900 - cortex for playing all day, and my ten bets in Arena I'm losing out on a good amount for sure. However I just hope it's fixed sooner than later. 87 days till I get that mug :wink_:

    I wanna be patient and normally I am, but...
    When problems keeps comming up, it's a bit hard to keep your head high all the time..
    Today when I got online, I was very sure that the problem would be pixed within a good amount of time, that was almost 10 hours ago...

    I like to keep my streak if possible.
    But I'm gonna have to go sleep soon, and poof says the streak.
    And I'm not gonna lie, I really really want that Mug....

    razer did reply on one of my threads that they are working on fixing the problems so they r making a move

    You guys hurt my head with all this fanboyism. Stop defending Razer for their poor servers. Razer messed up and you guys are defending them and are blaming the users. Razer should have known that offering “free” stuff, when playing the most popular games, would have an impact on their servers. They should have expected this and should have done something before they have announced this.

    They haven’t even mentioned this on their Twitter pages and are barely talking about it on their forums. Arena displays a message a minute ago, when I saw that message about an hour ago. They should compensate people who spent the time getting streaks on Arena and on Cortex, while also not breaking everyone’s streak.

    Razer should have known this was going to happen and they are doing a bad job trying to fix it. They don’t respond to us and they don’t want to publicly acknowledge this issue. You guys are blindly defending Razer, when they should be hearing all this feedback and should be responding to us, publicly.

    People shouldn’t be patient when all these rewards are timed, so get out of here with that talk.

    Disagreed. Razer is not a small, US-based company which has a poor quality of services. Razer is a large, international company which produced many products, and with a large amount of users and fans for the past few years. They introduced zVault a few months ago, and then fully launching it a few days ago.

    Yes, they have been testing zVault and their servers for months, and of course such frequent breakdowns of servers are getting out of hand, but, remember Min introduced the new "Paid to Play" program, we all knew that a large sum of users will trash through the Razer servers, just to get the precious zSilvers every day for free items.

    However, things happen! Months of testing doesn't mean the servers can handle the data perfectly, especially when there is an awful amount of new users signing up, logging in, getting rewards, and even calculating playtime.
    Obviously, when a new program is introduced, you do need to give the developers time to re-organize and react to the problem. As for users like us, yes, losing streaks and zSilver may lose us chances to get the new Chroma mug! We should give quality ideas and opinions for Razer to prevent things like this to happen again, instead of ranting against Razer's problems.

    @prostacker, I think we both know that Razer did a fairly poor job on this time's incident, however, by criticizing Razer on something that none of us can predict, is very foolish and ridiculous, which is very unfair for Razer. However, I do agree on your point that Razer did a poor job on responding us on this matter.

    @Marius18 I disagree with some of the stuff you mentioned. I am mostly ranting about how some of the community just don't care about the way Razer is handling this, while also defending Razer when people are criticizing them. It may be hard to predict this kind of stuff, but Razer signed up for this. They should have known this was going to be an issue and they chose to do timed rewards, so it is Razer's fault for this mess. They could have done better.

    So how do you know they aren't working on the server right now?
    Yes, I know I don't have proof of them working on it.
    But if you stay with Razer since last few years, you will know they do change for the better.
    For example, the CES sales.
    If you compare the previous year sale, then you will know how much better they have changed.

    I agree that it is very disappointing to lose my Cortex streak and much more so to miss out on the 900 zSilver for playing games, but like has been mentioned, it's probably due to so many new people joining the servers in such a short time that the servers can't handle it right. I'm sure Razer is doing everything they can to get it back up and running as quickly as possible.

    Not saying about others, but my post was (at least I think), just honest.
    Though I agree, that they have not kept us in touch as well as they might have, I am pretty sure that it will improve in time as with their other things. Practice makes perfect :).

    Though indeed it seems the streaks will be lost, it is possible that we will be compensated. It happened before in Arena Beta, when the daily was screwing up, that we got our missing points.

    Besides, on a global scale comparing to other companies, Razer is still doing better than average billion dollar companies (which is unfortunate, that most companies suck lol). And even if Razer is a multimillion dollar company like mentioned above, they are still small and new (relatively speaking, since technology advances fast).

    Look at how often Riot has problems in LoL for example.... Of course fans complain there like we do here, but in the end everyone still plays and loves LoL, and their profits are huge.

    If you're having problems claiming try to claim in offpeak times. I've found that I can't claim during the night (for me in Australia which is day for most of you guys) but during my day it always seems to work. Losing your streak can suck, but considering how small the amount of zSilver lost from that it's minimal. Losing the Pay to Play also sucks, but don't worry, it's not just you affected so the Mugs aren't going any quicker. I'd absolutely say that it's an issue with the volume of people who have picked up Cortex and it's having trouble handling all the gamers out there excited by Pay to Play. It'll get better as they fix up the servers and people get complacent. Hang tight :)

    Anyway, I was not able to get my zSilver before sleep/reset time, but I did not lose my login streaks. Also it seems, that I maybe got zSilver for playing yesterday, but not completely sure on that.
