I got a 1080p Blade 14 a few months back and am now wondering if it would be a viable desktop replacement if I got a monitor. On PC Part Picker I've managed to compile the parts for a great PC (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QYtygw), but that's more than a bit expensive (as expensive as my Blade was). Should just get a monitor?

I would get this and this and monitor as you want to keep this;) I think it’s also cheaper than your purchase list isn’t it?

Blade all the way! Just get external monitor!

That's how I use mine. In fact, I've been laptop exclusive for the last 10 years. Great monitor (with Blade as second/extended display), Death Adder Elite and Black Widow X, FTW! My gaming needs have changed over time and I like things clean and simple, now. But, individual results may vary, see store for details.

So all I need is a monitor, keyboard (preferably), and maybe an eGPU. Fantastic!
