Heres Razer's page comparing the two, but just the main things:
    • Elite has Mechanical Switches, Essential does not
    • Elite has a 16,000 DPI sensor, Essential has a 6,400 DPI Sensor
    • Elite has Chroma Lighting, Essential just has green
    • Elite has 7 programmable buttons while the Essential has 5
    • Elite has a braided USB cable, Essential just has a normal USB cable
    • Elite can move 450 Inches per second, Essential can move 220 Inches per second
    • Elite has a 50G acceleration, Essential has a 30G Acceleration
Those are the main differences from what I can tell, not sure if there are any build quality differences between the two. The Deathadder Essential seems like an updated Deathadder Classic (Or the later Deathadder 2013), since that was a bestseller because it was a cheaper good gaming mouse.
