  1. It seems bitcoin is crashing, do you guys think Graphic Card will be more affordable?

3 months ago 1070 only cost around USD 500, now the price went up to USD 700.

Do you think it will still go up or it will come down?

Me too, I hate them, saying it on every forum i attend, about the price it also depends on where you live, US seemd more insane than here in EU, on January I still could get my 1080 ti under mrsp but by no much, in Asia I think it's worse since I heard the miner number in China is very high, which is bad because mostly GPU factory is there...maybe the workers is also one of the miner;) Try to keep your eyes on Amazon or Nvidia website, recently EVGA has stock there and last week here in EU gigabyte and also Nvidia restock it 2 week before, but high end card went just in minutes.

Because Bitcoin is taking over the internet and Bitcoin miners use a lot of graphic cards... so if Bitcoin dries out the graphic card prices will go down (I assume)

If seen on a few hardware channels that GPU prices are beginning to fall but still not to MSRP. I think the prices may still be inflated for a bit of time but again at least they are falling a bit.

I think that NVIDIA benefited to earn more money with the miner...

But if the miner stop and the sales crashs, it's possible that the price will go down.

I hope that in 2019 the price of the Graphic cards will be cheaper, because the 11 serie...:scream:

I sincerely have no idea how it is anyone ROI on their mining rigs, factoring in the cost of cards (now increased), hardware, cooling that is needed. Unless you're staying in an apartment somewhere with free electricity and cold weather all year round.

Anyone else felt a flicker of hope as bitcoin price crashes?

+1. Prices have yet to hit MSRP in SG here. Had a glimmer of hope when BC reached $6XXXK USD mark. Might take a while more to see real impact on GPU prices

IKR. I had to get a GC for work purposes, and a supplier friend refused to sell, telling me "now's a bad time. use what you have first." :frown_:

  18. asic have new mining machine, which is fast and cheaper than using graphic card.

this might cause the GC price to drop, not much but i think better than nothing.

Unless manufacturers magically put out more cards on the market, GC price will continue to increase. Shops in my area get cleared out 2-3 days after getting their GC stocks.
