Duplicate default profiles issue

    Synapse 3 has had this problem for months and months...I have reported it before...

    For some reason, a profile with the naming convention "<computer_name>-default" is created automatically, and then duplicated over and over again. I have tried deleting them, ignoring them, renaming them...it just keeps adding more. They don't seem to serve any purpose. They don't actually serve as a default (the profile that loads with windows seems kind of random, but it's never the "default").

    Here's a picture of what I am talking about:

    Yup, we have identified the root cause for this issue which happens on some systems. This bug will be fixed in the next patch coming up in a few days.

    This also happens on Synapse 2 for Mac, FYI, with it actually being the default (or what I have set as the default profile). The fix I was given was Support deleting all of my profiles from my account, and me starting from scratch.

    I installed the update. Like usual, it's all f*cked up. The duplicate profiles stay gone after I delete them, but now we are back to profiles getting randomly loaded...

    Have you thought about just starting over from scratch? Synapse 4? Seriously...

    Me...and many other loyal customers...are so angry and frustrated and let down...that you really couldn't do worse.

    Just start over from scratch. You need to support all your hardware. That is item number one....

    Sorry about the confusion. The update you saw was an unscheduled hotfix, not the full-fat bug fix patch I was talking about. That is coming out in late-July

    The easiest way to tell is when you have the last-sync date and manual sync button in the "Settings" menu. That's the big bug-fix patch. :)

    I am currently on Synapse v3.3.802.80812. I have not seen any duplicate profiles at all in at least 10 days. I have done a couple manual syncs during that time.
