Hi,
I just reformatted my pc and tried to install razer synapse and it kept giving me error 142. I also tried installing the 7.1 surround sound and it gave me the same error.

Are you on an x64 platform? If so, yry to update to the latest version of your .Net Framework. You can download it from here. Do send me a PM should you need further assistance.
