I wonder what you guys' favorite display option is? I am a big fan of borderless windowed mode.
Well i very much like to play a game with its maximum potential regarding the graphics, it annoys me to know that a game can't run with full specs on my pc. Unfortunately at the moment it doesn't but i'll get a new motherboard and a cpu and hopefully will do. I do like the most consuming display options that there is when i play a game and more exactly the texture, shadow quality, blur i also like to always have displayed the fps number in top corner of the game.
What is the benefit from it, usn’t boarderless windowed mode brings lower FPS than full screen? I always want to play 4K 60fps, but since I’m a Laptops gamer and atm there’s no powerful laptops yet to run it, i have to be satisfied with 1080p high setting 50fps+ on my 1060 laptop, in some titles I can run max setting.
PS: for me Laptop is under 2kg, over than that i put in desktop category
I usually play in exclusive fullscreen mode, except as explained below.
TLDR: From my understanding the only change in FPS between borderless and fullscreen happens when game code is better optimized for one or the other. Usually there is no perceivable difference between them.
The only advantage I've seen to borderless mode is if you are task-switching frequently (for the likes of third party game chats, streaming software etc) which happens more quickly if you're already in windowed mode and is less likely to crash anything as can happen when switching in and out of fullscreen mode.
Always and always liked to play in fullscreen mode with small icons. nothing big
I don't think I've ever played any games in anything except full screen mode - the only exceptions being things like Bejeweled or something like that. lol
