I would have to say that Xenogears, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Killer Instinct 2 are my favorite soundtracks.

For me it has to be Modern Warfare 2 soundtrack composed by Hans Zimmer, one of my favorite movie soundtrack composers.

Chrono Cross has a fantastic soundtrack. Scars of Time remains one of my favorite pieces of video game music. More recently, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow had a completely stellar soundtrack, came with a soundtrack disc in the box in fact when I bought it. It's just great, I still pop it in and listen to it every now and then. Epic score and epic game world design, that game is under appreciated.

Love the Chrono Cross soundtrack, but the Legend of Zelda series has incredible music. Particularly Majora's Mask. Can't wait for the 3DS remake!

I love this remix version of the Majora's Mask soundtrack: http://bit.ly/1k5i9WT
I feel it really captures the feeling of the game.

The Last of Us is easily one of the best modern soundtracks to date. By modern, I mean within the last console generation.

Crash Bandicoot is by far my favourite soundtrack, have it on my Spotify and just jam to it whilst I drive, makes me think I'm on Crash Team Racing!

My love for jazz made L.A. Noire one of my favorite soundtracks.
  11. The Assassin's Creed 2 soundtrack is fantastic, although the same can be said for Black Flag and AC3, they all have such great and distinctive moods that fit the settings so well, but also stand on their own as great tracks for roadtrips and study sessions.

Definitely Age of Conan would my first pick. The game got released with such a big hype yet lost a huge amount of player after the lauch due to bug issues and such. After these bugs were fixed and server communities were pretty much set the game really felt amazing with all these wonderfull soundtracks.

My personal favourite track is probably Field of the Dead.
  16. Anything final fantasy. I can listen to that music even when not playing it.

The Halo soundtracks are pure gold, but the Assassin's Creed soundtrack had me teared up as well.
  18. Spec Ops: The Line, WoW sound track, GTA: Vice City, Skyrim and Im sure there's more lol.

Has to be the original Halo music for me...still gets me to this day
  20. Smash bros. has a pretty stellar soundtrack with a LOT of amazing arrangements, but if that doesn't count (since there isn't much original music) then probably various games from the FF series. r
