Favorite non english speaking films?

Here are a few of my favorites.
I think Amelie is as good as it gets. This movie has it all beautiful cinematography, superb acting, good story. The other 3 are great in their own way. Blue Is the Warmest Color was amazing. An erotic heart-wrenching love story with excellent acting. Amores Perros was a powerful punch to the gut! I can't really say I understood Holy Motors, and I don't think I'm supposed to. It was such a wild ride and unlike anything I'd ever seen before. The movie is a sensory overload provoking many emotions.

What are some of your favorites?

love French movies too.
Everything from Bresson, but especially A Man Escaped, Pickpocket, and Diary of a Country Priest.

I love answers like this. Always something new worth adding to my watchlist. Thanks!

Since you like Amelie, maybe you'd like these as well;
Delicatessen
MicMacs
The Sound of Noise
Angel-A
A Town Called Panic (super goofy but pretty awesome)

If you're interested in horror or thrillers these are totally worth watching;
I Saw the Devil
Terrified (also called Aterrados - released in 2018) (it's on shudder)
The Wailing
TAXI, any of the Luc Besson ones except not that Jimmy Fallon one.
"Biutiful". A film, in Spanish, with one of my absolute favourite actors Javier Bardem. One of the prettiest, most heartfelt and real films.
Anything by Alejandro González Iñárritu is amazing really.
"21 Grams"
"Amores Perros"

Also, if you like Amelie, "Goodbye Lenin" has a soundtrack composed by the same composer, Yann Tiersen!
Hi to all. Some of my foreign movie favourites come from the Chinese action genre. Not just for the action, but also the acting by the actors/actresses in these movies. The top ones would be the 'Ip Man' movies with Donnie Yen and 'Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon' with Michelle Yeoh and Chow Yun Fat.

Thank You For Mentioning As I Never Heard About this. I Will Try Once.
I'm partial to Korean Cinema, Park-Chan Wook being my favourite director. Off the top of my head, I warmly recommend Oldboy, Parasite, The Yellow Sea, I Saw the Devil, I'm a Cyborg But That's Okay and Thirst.

One of my favorite non English films is perhaps Panic au Village (A Village Called Panic). It's a stop-motion film and it's really unique, coming from a series of shorts to a full movie.
I like French movies
