    Dear FedEx,

So, I got the text from you last night that said my Blade Stealth would be arriving today. I checked the tracking and it said the delivery estimate was for "2/11/2016: By End Of Day" and that it required an "Indirect Signature". I was so happy, I searched the internet(s) for any way to get around the whole "Indirect Signature Required" thing and found a nice little form to print out and tape to my door. I printed it out, took my time to write it extra neatly, and made sure it was securely in place to keep from blowing away in this wintery wind. Then, I got home from work and saw the form still attached to my door... I checked the tracking information... "No scheduled delivery date available at this time".

Look, FedEx, I loved "Castaway" and I've heard you do good moving stuff all over the place, but you really let me down today. I'm starting to feel a little bit like Tom Hanks here, I'm not mad... but I am very disappointed in you. If this happens again, though, ohhh boy... you'll have never seen so many angry exclamation (or Ang-ra-mataion) points in your life. Also, I'll post stuff like "My thoughts and prayers are with you in this troubling time" on your FB page, that way all your close friends will think you're keeping a really important secret from them.

Anyways, I hope to see you tomorrow.

    Love,

    Brian

    P.S. WIILLLLLLLSON!!!!

I feel your pain. There have been numerous time where FedEx and UPS either slapped the "try again" sticker on my door when I know that someone was home or they delivered my box to another house. It doesn't matter what I've got ordered I have to check the tracking information multiple times a day until it arrives. And when it doesn't arrive on the estimated date it is just frustrating.

Getting an item shipped from the west coast to Indiana already seems to take forever, it always seems to have an delivery date of Friday, and then that one extra day turns into a whole weekend. Then by Monday I'm starring out the windows like a junkie looking for a fix.

@Detective_Chimp I actually cut out of work early to hopefully meet the package being delivered, and now I'm pondering taking tomorrow off. If I have to wait much longer, I might go broke.

I've never tried with FedEx, but I have went to the local UPS hub and talked to the person working in the office and they have been able to get a hold of the driver (using the tracking number) and will set the package to the side in the office when the driver gets back. And sometimes (depending on when they got back) allowed me to pick up my package at the hub before they closed that day. It's a gamble, if the driver gets back before they close you get your stuff that day else you have to drive to the hub the next day and pick it up.

This is all dependent on how close the delivery sorting hub is to you if it is worthwhile.

After the 2nd fail attempt call them and say that you have work and have them deliver on saturday if it is fedex home delivery. That is what happened to me during the ces sale.

I think I'm running into a @GenTheIdiot situation here, as the tracking now shows the package on the other side of the country and still doesn't list a delivery date.

FedEx is playing keep-away? That doesn't seem right.

Also, I love your MST3K signature.

Yeah, it's weird, because it had a delivery date, and I swear it said it was at my local FedEx sorting facility, but now it's like everything since last Sunday has disappeared and it says it's back in Oklahoma.

Thanks! I got an email update from them yesterday because of backing their Kickstarter, while I was trying to figure out something new to do for the signature. Seemed like it was meant to be.

I was really close to being a backer, but I just didn't feel like I was a big enough fan. I enjoyed what I had seen years ago, but I couldn't really tell you a lot about the show. I do look forward to the new episodes though.

Have you bought/funded any of the RiffTrax stuff? I had never heard of it until Humble Bundle did a bundle, but after a little research I was like "why have I never heard of this".

I have bought and funded RiffTrax, I almost attended a RiffTrax Live but couldn't make it because of stupid work.

I'm definitely excited for the new episodes, and only partially because I love Felicia Day (and Patton Oswalt). I've definitely seen a large majority of the older episodes, but I think what was great is that you really didn't need to see a lot to enjoy the show and know what was going on. I mean, that theme song basically told you everything you needed to know...

I actually just seen today that Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt were going to be a part of the revival. I did a google search to find out what the final total was and instantly spoted them in the photo. I think Felicia Day is awesome. I'm a big Joss Whedon fan, so by association I was introduced to her. I've seen a lot of her stuff from her guest spots on shows like Eureka, Supernatural, and Dollhouse to the internet stuff like The Guild and that awful Dragon Age show. As well as Dr Horrible. Patton Oswalt is hilarious on Agents of Shield and about everything else he is in. I have to watch Balls of Fury every once in a while just to have a laugh during his scenes.

I think the big reason I'm not a bigger fan of MST3K is because I only every got to see the show as a kid when I went to a friends house because he had the satellite with a bajillion channels. I always like the show, I just never got to watch it that often. I've seen the 'movie' a couple of times and maybe a few random episodes.

I will say that MST3K is only one of a few crowdfunding campaigns I was excited for, along with Veronica Mars, Super Troopers 2, and Reading Rainbow. Unfortunately, Veronica Mars has been the only one I have had a chance to back. The others I have either forgot about or didn't know about until it was already over.

I worked at a liquor store warehouse and I had to load up the delivery truck with a conveyor belt and this would happen all the time. My favorite was when I had a case of wine flying back down at me. One second it is going up, the next I'm covered in cheap red wine. :/

Edit. Ooops, sorry for the double post.

We might share a brain, as I backed all of those too.

Joss is the best, and he definitely first exposed me to Felicia Day (Buffy The Vampire Slayer!!) and that's just one of a million reasons that he is awesome.
