Firmware Issue: Ornata: Key response lag

  1. For the past month I've had an on-again off-again issue on my Ornata Chroma where the [enter], [;] and ['] buttons have a lag before they become responsive. It takes anywhere from 10 to 15 presses before it responds. After they start responding everything works normally only to revert back to the previous state of being unresponsive after some time of inactivity.

    I have been using Synapse 2.0. After a clean re-install, the same behavior reappeared within a few hours. I have no macros and no button mapping for the Ornata. I also attempted to uninstall Synapse 2.0 and use the keyboard without Synapse but I ran into the same behavior within 5 hours. Resets don't clear the behavior. Nor does a complete reinstall (including clear the registry).

    I also have attached an Orbweaver and an Ouroboros. Those do have button mapping assigned to them.

    From the steps I have taken and the behavior this looks to me like a firmware issue but I'm not sure. Please help!!!!

    Hello there! Does the same issue happen if you use it with another PC? Also, when did this issue start to happen?

  3. I haven't tried with a different PC yet. It started a month ago. This behavior went away twice, after a reinstall of Synapse, but returns after a few days.

    If I were to try to reproduce this on another PC should I install Synapse and the related drivers or should I use the default keyboard drivers?

  5. I am able to reproduce the same behavior on another PC. After roughly 30 minutes of inactivity the same 3 buttons don't respond until multiple button presses. It also appears that the longer the period of inactivity, the longer it takes to respond.

    The second PC I used didn't have any Razer software on it.
