I have the late 2016 Kaby Lake Razer Blade with Nvidia 1060 and 512GB of memory. It's also the UHD+ touchscreen model. When I run an external monitor, I'm able to hit framerates of 90 in PUBG, and well over 60 in all other games. When playing on the laptop screen I'm barely able to hit 30 frames in PUBG and maybe hovers around 45 in games like Siege and CoD.

any thoughts or suggestions how to fix?

Hello! Is Windows updated to the latest version? Also, have you tried updating your graphics driver?

So the top 3 things are:
    1. Nvidia Optimus - the blade can use the intel card and the nvidia card - check with hwinfo that the nvidia card is being used with the laptop screen (re-install nvidia drivers)
    2. Is it running on Battery? If you have the Gforce experience, check "Battery Boost" which clocks down games.
    3. Are they both running the games at the same resolution: check what resolution you are running at, If you have an external monitor running at 1920x1080 but the laptop panel running at 4k you will see a massive drop in frame rates.

If the game is running at the same resolution on both screens, and it isn't battery boost, it could be:
    • Overheating (seems odd, but using the screen can generate more heat) - something like HWinfo should show you
    • Synapse profile (Are there different profiles for external monitor)?
    • Are the games running at the same settings?

This. I’m also quite sure OP play on native screen resolution, well not UHD but 1800p QHD+ for this model, pubg 4K on 1060 won’t hit 20fps I believe.
