  1. Hello everyone first time posting here just wanted to let everyone know of a good way to sync a full led strip with razor chroma. It is a DIY project but it works great. I took a broken razor mouse (deathadder) then built a circuit so that they mouse RGB signals could power a LED strip. It syncs up nicely for any games that utilize chroma and a few basic chroma functions that sync across all devices. I just made this as a good substitute for the HDK cause I couldn't afford that rather expensive imo $80 for the kit. Attached is a picture for proof. I could do a whole video tutorial on how to make it if there is enough interest. RGB.jpg

this is fantastic! Even if I already own the HDK, I'd be totally interested in learning how to do that! Looks fun and I could make a gift out of it

Dude, I still want a how to on this. My deathadder can be sacrificed and was just replaced with a Basilisk and I really want the chroma synced desk light.

  9. Sorry about the wait was finishing up my semester and getting back to my internship. I have a new strip coming in this week (old ones connections where bad), so once I get that in (early in he week) I will make the tutorial and post it here.

Pretty good explanation. I know I don't know as much as I should about making that board, but I will be doing my research to do it myself!

    Well done!

I did something similar a while back with an old chroma mouse, but instead of feeding the signals "directly" into the led strip, I connected them to the analog inputs of an Arduino. That way the Ledstrip didn't 100% depend on Synapse and I could run other animations whenever f.e. the PC was turned off.
I also used WS2812b leds, so that every single led was individually controllable. Whenever the Arduino received a new color, it calculated a small color gradient(around the received color) for each led to look more natural.

Still wanted to expand it to use ESP8266 to transfer those signals wireless, but I didn't had the time yet :/
