  1. So with the news that my wife and I will be having a third baby. I have decided it is time to invest in a gaming headset that I can have the audio from my TV and Xbox One play through so that way at night when I get the chance to play my xbox...I dont have to have the volume turned all the way down. Can anyone recommend a good headset?

    I was thinking of..

any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated!

I have fallen in love with the form and design of the krakens, so id go for them. Of course, i have never tested a tiamat headset, but ive heard that many like them too. The price is a big difference, so think carefully if you really need 7.1 surround sound or if 2.1 is enough, so that you can buy a cheaper kraken 360 or tiamat 2.1

I'm not sure if the Razer Tiamat 7.1 will work on Xbox....
But here are some options that you may have overlooked:
    Razer Chimera 5.1
    Razer Chimera
  4. I prefer the kraken, I am using the Kraken 7.1 at the moment and I love it:D

I love my Tiamat 7.1's but they would be worthless in your situation. If you want a wired option go with the Krakens. Someone mentioned the Chimeras, these are great because they are wireless but only get the 5.1's as these have a digital audio port while the regular ones do not.

As much as I like Razer... But for 200$ (Tiamat) you might be better off with a headphone + microphone combination. Better Value for the Price.
Just look up what (Edited. House Rules.) etc. have to offer.

Razer Audio tends to be a bit too bass heavy for my taste (although I have to admit I have the hammerheads and a blackshark - both bought at a sale or refurbished).

It seems like the Tiamat 7.1 doesn't work on the Xbox...

I haven't tried it. Re-reading what they said there, apparently the Surround Sound part doesn't work, not the main headset. This is what they said:

The Kraken wins here, the Tiamat is good, but not worth double of what the Kraken costs.
  10. Kraken is a good all purpose headset. You can't really go wrong with them.

The Razer Tiamat 7.1 will not work with the XBox One. I recommend getting the Razer Kraken for XBox One
