  1. About a few months ago, my Razer Hammerhead (not v2 Pro) 3.5mm Headphone jack Broke. So I tried soldering my hammerhead with another 3.5mm headphone jack (since my warranty already expire and I don't know where to repair). It did lasts a few months before it started making bad sounds when I bend the wire.

Then a few weeks later, I decided to order online a Hammerhead v2 Pro cost RM188 ( About $46) from Lelong.com.my ( An online Malaysian store ). When it arrived, I tried it and it sounds worse than the first gen Hammerhead. Even my soldered hammerhead still sounds better than The v2 Pro. I throught it might be a fake hammerhead v2 Pro but I managed to register warranty . I tried some cheap earphones before but my hammerhead v2 Pro sound a lot better. What do you guys think ? Is it fake or it's actually worse ?

I dont think so to be honest. I own all of razer earphones and so far the audio quality does not disappoint. There could be a possibility that your audio device or audio jack could be faulty. Consider writing in to razer support about this issue. All the best

I don't think the sound quality of Hammerhead V2 Pro is worse than Hammerhead. Usually the price for Hammerhead V2 Pro is around RM 280, the price below it usually is FAKE product.

I would suggest you email Razer Support the serial number to double confirm it is genuine. And the are few ways to check it. The headset come with serial tag on it (if it is without serial tag, for sure is fake). Usually the serial number start with INxxxxxxx also is fake.

    Good luck :wink_:.

you probably got faulty ones or they are fake. my V2 sound better then my V1. check with razer support if they are in fact real, and maybe they can hook you up with new ones since if thats the case, something is probably wrong with them

  5. Mine starts with IE1XXX . I'll contact Razer Support now.

I've tried both, and the sound quality of the V2 is nearly the same, maybe a bit more balanced, but definitely not worse
Either they are broken or fake
