Hardware Issue?: Audio muffled on L ear of Razer Kraken Pro 2/3

Hi! Relatively new Razer user here, very excited to be entering the realm of equipment designed for gaming.

I was gifted a Razer Kraken Pro -- this headset, if it helps; I thought it was a V3 but the P/N is (*Omitted), which Google lists as from 2019 -- and I think there's an issue with it which seems like a hardware/connection problem. I'm curious if others think the same.

I haven't used it as much as I'd hoped since I bought it, but I noticed today that certain parts of a game I was playing (FFXIV) sounded "muffled" or overall softer. I especially noticed it during quest acceptance sounds, or audio in lower frequencies (e.g.: sounds playing when dragons communicate). I thought it was just a weird balance issue, but then I plugged in my spouse's headset (a V2 or V1) and the problem was GONE.

I also tried it with a cheap headset jack headphone, and a Bluetooth headphone without a mic, and those all sounded perfectly solid.

It's still just within return policy from the seller (Amazon), so I think I'll

Excuse me; I was interrupted from my post, and the final sentence was cut off!

As I was noting, the headset is still just within return policy from the seller (Amazon), and I think I'm noticing fainter sound from the left earcup overall. I think I'll test it on a variety of applications, and if the problem persists, return it as a likely small hardware issue.

Hi there! Welcome to the community. Sorry to hear about your headset's concern. Based on your product number, it shows that you are using the Razer Kraken 2019. Are you using the 7.1 Surround Sound? If you are, does the issue happen even when the app is closed or disabled? Connect your headset to a different computer and check if it behaves the same. Feel free to send me a PM together with the serial number of your device that starts with "SN". Let's continue from there.
