Headphones unable to be detected

Hello everyone,

I currently am using a Razerblade 15 (2018) laptop and some Razer Kraken x headphones for reference. Recently after a Windows 10 update, I have been unable to use my headphones directly through my headphone jack on my laptop. Before this issue, I also had some problems with my audio with voice chats on discord as well (but that issue seems to have been fixed on its own after the Windows 10 update). When I attempt to plug in my headphones on my laptop through the headphone jack, my laptop will have a notification sound that something was plugged in and asks me to identify what was plugged in. After selecting headset/headphones, I find that the sounds still come out of my speakers as if I didn't plug them in at all. My laptop seems to be unable to recognize that it has even been plugged in. However, when I plug it in through my dongle, the headphones seem to connect just fine (this is the same for problem for my other headphones/earbuds etc) although I don't get a notification that something was plugged in.

I have checked and all the drivers are suposedly up to date. Does anyone know if this is a direct issue with my headphone jack or if this is an issue with the drivers on the computer (is there any solid way to figure it out? Has anyone else experienced a similar issue, and if so, any solutions that helped fix the problem? It would be nice to not have to use my dongle just to be able to use my headphones, especially if I am out in public. I am not very computer savvy, but any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Best,
Cirrowe

As far as I can tell, this is a Realtek driver issue. The audio drivers you have are highly-likely not compatible with the Windows version you updated to. Do send me the serial number of the headset and the laptop so I can help you get this sorted out.
