Help about Razer Ouroboros

  1. After a lot of searches at the web I found 2 "versions" of the Ouroboros (that's how it looks to me).
The first one is with one laser sensor while the other one have a dual laser sensor.
At the close local electronic store I was able to found only the version with the one laser sensor.
Another thing is that at the razerzone US that shows the version with the one laser sensor while at the razerzone Russia it shows the version of the dual laser sensor.
Last thing is that someone told me that razer builds new version every year or something like that so if someone know's how can I know what is the product year of manufacture without opening the product and what is the newer version I'd be happy.

Version 1 with only 1 laser sensor

Version 2 with dual laser sensor

    Sorry for my bad English....

The main question is which version is better/newer?

I'm guessing it's some sort of translation error, or someone abbreviating. There's only ever been one version of the Ouroboros so far, and it comes with an 8200DPI dual-laser sensor.

  3. At the product page in razerzone US you can see in the specs that the ouroboros contains only one laser sensor and even in the 3d model of this mouse you can see this (link- http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/razer-ouroboros).

(Correction- at razerzone Russia only in the gallery you can see a picture of the dual laser sensor but still in the spec there they still write about only single laser sensor)

laser is a new technology than optical, but optical is arguably the better type of sensor. The dual sensor of the optical and laser together is most likely the newer version.

  5. So if I understand correctly the version with two sensors it actually one laser sensor and one optical sensor and it's better than the version with only one laser sensor...

To answer your question, the Razer Ouroboros in Version 1 is the latest mouse.

The Razer Ouroboros has been upgraded and the two sensors have been combined into a single sensor. The upgraded sensor performs all the processes originally performed by 2 without any loss of functionality.

I do not aware that is actually 2 version of Ouroboros in the market now. LOL...

  8. And since the combination razer didn't upgrade anything?
    and thank you so much!

When was this second version released? And will we be seeing an upgrade anytime soon?

Actually it isn't. V1 is offered in the US. V2 is offered in EU. This is the only difference.

I bought the Ouroboros in Razer Store long after both versions have been out and still got the european version. So it's definitely not "new" vs "old", since if it was old they shouldn't have shipped it. At least I hope so.
