I've had my Razer Blade for a little over a month now, and I've had some very bad diagonal screen tearing. I've scoured many forums and people seem to have the same issue with other 970m laptops with optimums technology. I would get screen tearing even when web browsing, but I seemed to have fixed that by switching the browser to use my integrated graphics within Nvidia control panel. Although, the problem still persists when I play games. Almost every game has a diagonal screen tear, even with V-sync on - off - adaptive. Not even changing the Nvidia control panel sync setttings does the trick. So has anyone figured out a fix to this, or has anyone experienced this ssue with their blades.

This seems to be a general issue with the Nvidia 970M, have you tried contacting their support?

    1) No such issues on my Blade 2016 (got from Microsoft), only having the external display flickering issue
    2) Contact support! ;)

  5. I have the same problem, it's driving me crazy. I've tried virtually EVERYTHING to fix it but nothing works. I tried everything possible in the Nvidia control panel, messed with all kinds of battery options to make it do max performance, everything. It's apparently a problem with Nvidia's mobile gpu line and has been a problem for a year and has been being ignored by Nvidia as well. But this doesn't explain how corey's Blade is okay... I've already had to RMA for my blade once because of dead pixels AND the diagonal screen tearing which I thought was just another thing that shouldn't happen.

This may explain why there are already Blades appearing with 1060s.

  7. That better not be their solution because there's hundreds and thousands of us that are stuck with the non 1060 version.

I wouldn't necessarily say stuck, it seems that the next load of Blades are going to have 1060's, as was recently shown. It helps explain the lack of release in Europe and the slow restock in US, so it could potentially be an upgrade to the 1060. I would assume that your current Blade is still under warranty, so if I'm correct you could return it and then buy the new one.

Also that's not a really good way to think is it =P It's not the rest of ours fault that we couldn't get a Blade before an upgrade. You shouldn't hope they don't just because you have the older tech, if you know what I mean , then we wouldn't progress anywhere.

  9. You're right... Good points. I reckon I'll wait for the 1060 then return my blade to get the new one.

I'm having the same issues as all of you on the 970M model. Have now contacted support and waiting on word from them.

Did you guys find a resolution/swap out hardware?

    Cheers,
