How does your RP2 hold up?

Much like any most other phones, this is mostly regarding the outside appearance of the phone. Has your screen cracked? Anything falling off? etc etc.

So far, my phone has held up decently, performance and such is still great. However the charger port is having issues being well connected as it doesn't 'snap' on anymore. And one layer of the speakers, which is a type of sticky cover is falling off too. Along with my Tempered Glass cover already broken from a drop, actual phone screen was not affected thankfully, but removing the glass cover surely dropped some tiny glass residue over one area of the speaker and onto myself. Hopefully it doesn't cause damage to the small speaker.

I think I've had the phone for 1-2 years by now. I remember getting it on a Christmas sale and got it back after having a defective on the first. Around early/mid January is when I first got it last year. While it still holds up okay, I think these little inconveniences are driving me to get a new phone, unsure if I'll get a new Razer Phone, as this one is still working just fine. Though I feel like it'll only be a matter of time the charger port won't connect properly anymore.

Hence maybe a wireless charger might be a go to option. How's all your other Razer Phones holding up?

Mine is holding very good. Really no issues, only the screen is scratched all over. My mistake was that I haven't bought any screen protector, because I was thinking that Gorilla Glass is good enough. Sadly, it's shit.

Regarding the wireless charger, I have one (Razer's wireless charger), and I am delighted with it. Charging is not so much slower comparing to the wired one. Probably because of that I haven't got any issues with the charging port.
i just got mine last month, yeah i know im already 2 years late but who cares.

and i do really enjoy having this one as my daily mobile game driver. im so amaze with how this phone rack up the game smoothly. and since it just a month older then i guess everything extremely well tho.

wanna know if RP3 is coming up or not. *giggle*
Mine lasted 13 months, then the battery swelled up, rendering my RP2 phone useless. A shame it lasted such a short period of time, I really did like it until then. Unsure if I will buy any Razer products in the future, the lousy customer support stories seem rampant! Razer folks, get your shit together!
I've had mine for about 13 months too. I haven't seen any major issues yet but it's been in a case and had a tempered glass screen protector on it since I got it. The only appearance issues are a couple of small dents in the speaker grills. Also, last night I took it out of it's case and looked at the back and noticed a few small spots on the glass. They look like air pockets that have formed, possibly separation caused by heat. Other than that, appearance wise, the phone is pretty much new looking.

Now the speakers on the other hand, those were the first to go. Now anything close to half volume results in crackling.
Mine is holding up well. No issues other then it's sitting duck with exploits. Need that OS update with more monthly patches.
Performance is still great for me, though battery life isn't as great as it once was (though, this degradation is typical for Li-ion batteries). Aside from that, everything still runs buttery smooth.

Hardware wise, there's a couple of cracks in the top speaker grill. I think one of my recommendations for Razer, if they make a third phone, is to use a less fragile design for the speaker covers. Or maybe not use cheap plastic.

Considering rooting it, but not really sure if I want to tinker around with it, haha. But, we'll see.
Physically holding fine. Some scratches here and there, but so far so good.

I have issue with hardware I believe.
Next step is full clean install of OS to start anew.

I have call quality issues and sometimes stuttering.
My hardware is holding up, the software not so much, I don't know if its Android 9's fault or something Razer's customizations cause but my memory does not free up when I uninstall apps so I've run out of space after trying lots of different games via cortex, running out of phone space somehow caused the SD card to corrupt as well, so the whole thing is crashing and won't clear any room up so I'll end up having to factory reset it and lose tons of stuff thats gone corrupt and that makes me mad.
A tank! Great phone. I have A few small issues but in general its a great product after one year on intensive use
I have both RP1 and RP2. In all honesty, I love the RP1 but not the RP2.

RP1: amazing battery in my experience. Easily 8+ hrs screen on time. No software problem ever happened to me.

RP2: shit battery. Average screen on time is 3-4 hrs. Also, battery deplete even when I don't use it, say, sleep over night to find out 100% drop to 40%. This has been tested on a brand new device and factory reset device (no apps installed or any customisation). I contacted razer with details and screen shot in the past and they thought it's normal. Further more, I keep having (til this day) problems with ringer.

I don't think we could ever find a solution. My phone contract ends on 20th this month and I'm jumping onto the OnePlus wagon, mate.

The thing I love the most are the speakers! I watch a lot of Youtube and I found having dual s
The junglecat got me hooked to the RP2 even tho it has some flaws. I can easilly charge my phone anytime in the day. I cant think of any other model even today that from a price point would give me more and like I said the Junglecat attached is just pure joy!
Phone worked great then all of a sudden my camera app quit working and closes every time I try to open it .

I would strongly suggest you to install the Google camera app instead. You'd then realise why you haven't done that earlier.

The razer camera is shit anyway. Just serach on Xda and you'll find instructions.

*remember to install the correct apk file for razer 2.

If you don't believe me. Do a search on YouTube and you'll see the difference
Physically and performance great.
I like the phone, but have I always had some issues with it.

My 4G LTE randomly goes away and come back.
the 3G works fine.

also have problems with Bluetooth connection.

In my case, the Wifi does that as well. Everytime when I play MOBA games I have drop offs in every game.....

Ah you too huh? I'm now dealing with battery issues too. I had it fully charged just last night to near 100%, left it running alone, maybe only thing still on would be the little Monochrome Logo showing for notifications. I find it a nice gimmick to have too.
Sure enough, the next 7 hours where I woke up later, caused the phone to be down to 5%. I turned off the Monochrome notifiations just in case, but still, for 2 years since I had it. Now I'm dealing with bigger issues. Still works great for games and such. But might just go for a new phone again, not Razer Phone though.

Yes mate. Though I love those dual front facing speakers, it's overall not really a good phone. I recently got my lovely wife a Oneplus 7T. It's fantastic value and a decent phone. 7T screen and battery are much much much better. Give it a go mate. good luck.

Thanks, I might give that phone a try later. But I'll definitely still keep the Razer Phone as it still holds up well for games entirely. Standalone general use? Yeah not anymore. Hell even the batter was on Battery Saver when I left it over night. Screen/back is warmer when charging in the past, so unsure if there's something IN the razer phone that I haven't figured out yet.
