They won 7 years straight including this year, so they probably started winning during 2010 if you didn't know and then kept winning consecutively until now. All the 50% sales are always around mid January only if they win. The codes can always be achieved if you follow the razer forum updates so it is extremely easy to get them. However, if you get them on like the day of the sale or even hours before the sale starts, the website will crash. I've participated in their sales for 2 years already and both the razerzone.com website and razer forum crashes due to an excessive amount of people going for the same products. Unless you live in a different country other than the US, I guess that's a different story that I can't explain.

But unfortunately I feel like this year, they are planning to exclude a certain amount of people to make sure that actual fans actually get what they really want and deserve for supporting the brand. There are fans who actually likes their products but haven't really post anything on this forum. So what does it take to really be an actual fan? The buy 1 get 1 50% off is what a lot of people are referring, but might as well get the item you want that is always on sale on amazon instead of spending more. Plus, that will just crash the products with the lowest cost just to get that 50% discount like the headsets or death adder mouses. I like the way they processed it the last 6 years that they won, but what I'm afraid is the method Min will take which will exclude certain people out of it to lower down participants who just happen to hear about the sale and simply makes the account just for the code and actually get what they want. Therefore, a lot of people who knows about the razer sales every year may simply think that what their technology represented in CES every year may not be the best, but more like because they just want the 50% off. It's more of a win win situation, if razer wins, then we win our 50% off.

Agreed but it seems its a big issue since they keep mentioning it.

They had a sale for the systems 2 years ago, but that was when they switched the codes for the peripherals and systems. But I don't think they will ever do that anymore

Honestly. I think the idea for an active synapse account with at least one product registered to it seems the best. PERSONALLY I like the idea of people who have bought from there sight in the last year or two but hell I completely understand when people buy from other retail stores or amazon when they have better sales going on.

Regardless we all want it to go smooth and OBV have it beneficial for the people who actually support Razer rather then scalp or shit on Razer 90% of the year up until they can get something cheap.

i would prefere if they can track if you have active products linked also and then that way send those that have a code.

Correct, it was 30% off systems. I really wish they'd do that because a system is all I need right now.

I was able to catch the sale two years ago, and while it was frustrating the codes were flipped, I still managed to get something. I like the idea of the insiders with a certain number of posts, but I haven't been very active on insider myself. So I kinda like the buy one get one half off, it is a little harder to swing, with prices like they are. But I'd find a way to support that decision.

In my opinion they should give code to those account that are at least 6months old

I agree, but it is also kind of difficult, with assuming that we just got at least a few new Razer family members from Christmas presents.

I just got the RB 1060, I really want the laptop stand as 60$ is a hefty price tag for a little piece of metal

Quite frankly, no matter how Creative the idea is, there will still be some on the losing end of the sale event...it's just how they can try to make it as fair as possible to all new and long term fans alike...because all brands need to retain their customer base as well as keep attracting the new ones...what they don't want is for flippers who make use of the sale event to make some quick bucks (and harming their brand in the process)...hope they do come up with some great ideas since they most definitely have some Creative people in their team! Can't wait!

I support the active synapse/razer cortex/raxzer insider stuff. Great idea. Im already set on all my razer pheriphirals but i could replace my tiamat by the kraken pro v2

I would like to see the codes given to active Razer insider members. I am aware of plenty of Razer fans that don't use synaps. I am among that group.

I understand that Min needs to do something to address the scalpers to bring this CES sale to the real Razer fans. If I have to sit this one out, then so be it. But I am hoping that won't happen.

Well I have razer products and use it, but not on synpase because its just another program to open... I don't want too many background programs... given it s a sale, i think people shouldn't expect to get everything they want at a cheap discount, if you get something, great, if u don't, then u still support razer... -.-

I wish there was a way to see who voted for them to win and those people get the sale! My account on here is to new but I have a Razer Lycosa keyboard and wireless Razer Mamba mouse from 2009 so I need an upgrade to chroma and Mechanical Keyboard for my NZXT Razer case build. I think pics of your product with S/N to prove you support plus need upgrade or other products to go with them!

I don't agree with limiting it to active posters on Razer Insider, a lot of people simply prefer to be lurking and are still avid Razer followers.

I would like either the system where they send the codes out by synapse or by the Insider. Only problem with the insider is if they do it as a insider reward for a day, Then people may spam posts for a day to get to 50 or 100 posts, the amount Min said and then use the code. It would be better if they got some kind of system to DM people with over 50 or 100 posts with a code or something.
