What kind of keyboard do you use? I have tested it against the Deathstalker, Blackwidow Chroma in a local store and it is amazing. Has a click a lot like the Blackwidow, But it also is a little bit more quite like a Deathstalker. Actually just sold my old 2013 Deathstalker a few minutes ago to help afford the Ornata when it goes on sale.

Account age sucks for someone like me though, who only joined in December. I love Razer and already have a huge list of products I want to get. I just have no money and can't afford anything. Even with a sale, even if it's 50% off, I won't be able to get much. I'll be able to get possibly 1 or 2 things, depending on price range.

Sadly I never bought a razor product... I was looking for a headset and my friends told me to wait because razor could offer a huge discount if they won best of ces 2017. Although I do get why some restrictions need to be made....

I think if there was someway for there to be a validation on voting for them, I feel like that would be the best way. However, that would bring up a lot of privacy issues and the whole validation of the poll. The other ideas that were posted to min on fb as well as here bring up some good ideas as well. Some make more sense, but require more work from Razer, but I wouldn't mind waiting for the sale if that's what they decided to do. The other ideas are a bit more selective and kinda make it difficult for those who are new to try out Razer products and induct more members to the Razer cult xp. Either way I hope that they have the sale after this upcoming friday so that I can have enough funds for it lol.

But isn't that the point for a sale that is to show appreciation toward the actual Razer fans? Not to induct more people to the cult, but to say thank you for those that have been with Razer the whole way?

I still somewhat feel those who are on Razer Insider without any post shouldn't be blocked access to receiving these codes. I'm not sure of others but most of my questions are answered here so there is no need for me to start a new thread. I don't mind getting 50% off the second item purchased..

Ever since i was a kid i always wanted to get Razer products, but the price wasn't in favor of me. I understand how much quality you get for such a price and i don't mind paying. I have a Kraken Pro 7.1 and Blackwidow TE Chroma and now slowly completing my collection.

For me the Razer CES Sales means alot cause it falls perfectly so that i can afford to buy my favourite stuffs under my budget. I don't earn much to have a high budget for gaming but i try to sacrifice somethings in order to get the happiness of enjoying my game with Razer's products.

Why not make it that the person needs a 1 year old (or more) synapse account with at least 1 Razer peripheral on it and they must have a Razer insider account that has a few posts and must not have been made these past few days.

Why limit it to people who already own a Razer product? Competition is fierce and they really need to get the word out to people who may not know or be willing to try these products at full retail. The logic that it should only be people who participate on this website is just those members' greed talking rather than an actual marketing strategy.

Because it is to show appreciation to Razer fans. It's not a "Let's Get New People to Razer" sale. Last year it was literally called the "Razer CES 2016 Fan Appreciation Sale". It's not a marketing strategy, that's why it shows up on Razer sites/pages, and not on newspaper advertisements.

This is true. It is one of the way Razer shows their appreciation towards all its fan.

Since not everyone is active on forums, I would say active Synapse accounts with some workaround for console users with peripherals would be good.

Alot of us are lurkers (don't post) and that doesn't mean we are not fans.

They should at least provide unique codes to the folks who go to CES (like me) for sales. They could do it at the booth. It would be much more manageable.

They should spread a broader appreciation sale over several days with equipment being rationed by time (not first come, sell out). Instead, they should have 200 keyboards available between 2-4pm. Another 200 between 8-10pm. You would have to check back in but it would stop the scalpers from shutting the site down as it is almost every year.

What about making a mini game and after you complete it it gives you a reward. i doubt a bot can finish a random based mini game.

I agree with you mostly, but for people like me living in Germany it would be a disadvantage since I couldn't go to the CES. I would absolutelty go if I lived in Cali though.

There is no way they can do this without disappointing anyone there is gonna be backlash by people no matter what and I hope @Min-Liang Tan understands that.

Sure the way it worked last year meant you had to be there ready for the sale to live to get anything you wanted which sucks and everything went in the first 20secs but thats the way these sales go and if you don't get there then that's just hard luck.

imo though the fact scalpers go all out on these sales does make it worse so i'm all for it being held behind insider rewards for post counts.

The way I see it, the best way would be a combination of a few items. Either:

1)be a registered and "active" member of the forums, either through time spent or posts written etc (with a suitable time limit)
    2) Have a synapse account with registered razer products.(no time limit on this, if someone wants to just go out and buy something the day before the sale and register it, i feel like that's legit)
3)Register a serial number for older items that are too old to be on the cortex system or for peripherals, and get an an email code. Maybe you fill in a webform including a space for the serial number or something.

But like @Min-Liang Tan said, we you won't be able to keep everyone happy. I agree that it leaves some people out, but the whole point of this sale is to reward community members, not loyal fans or people who buy the products. The idea was to say thank you to a community that is active and behind Razer. There was a whole lot of whining about how it would be unfair to limit sales for people who essentially don't participate in the community. You don't need to buy stuff to be part of the community, but you should be active. @kajira @Ilya Feinstein

Honestly, I think @PTSinger said it best with:
To add to that, as far as I know, it's always been called the Razer CES Appreciation Sale. It happens only if a Razer product/project wins a Best of CES award. It is quite literally a sale event to reward the Razer fans for voting and supporting Razer for all these years.

This is not entirely true - it's not about the Insider community, or even the Facebook / Twitter communities. It's about the loyal fans and people who support Razer, whether or not they participate in other community events. Honestly, I think the chances of people being big Razer fans and not supporting *a* community (Insider, FB, Twitter) is highly unlikely, but still not really the point. However, there are still people who are big fans who own clothing, PS4 peripherals, X-Box 1 peripherals, speakers, etc who aren't on Synapse and choose not to participate directly in the online social networking sites because they feel that those are mostly "PC only" except for reading the news. Also, some people choose to attend events in person instead of being active on any of the social sites, but that doesn't make them any less of a fan.

Oh, and I use the Blackwidow Chroma Stealth, with additional o-rings so I don't bottom out the keys, just to keep it slightly quieter. lol
