I would like to bring my core x with Rtx 3070 gpu on trips with me, mostly by car. Is there a recommended case for it or a recommended way to transport it? I searched online and saw someone recommending a large camera bag for it that is no longer available.Do others think it is important to remove the gpu and put that in a separate box or is it ok to transport it in the core x? It seems like it is ok to move around as long as you keep it upright so no excessive load on the pcie slot from the card. What about putting it in a 22 in carryon suitcase? What do people think?

Have the same situation while back, what i did, i went to post office and get box that could fit / close to core dimensions. Then I bought bubble wrap.

so here its how i did it.
pull out ur GPU from Razer Core with the slider, and stuff all those bubble wrap in there ( just enough to leave no GAPS in between PCB and GPU and then slide back in, Next is wrap ur Core with bubble wrap. Just good enough, I believe what i did was 3 times around the CORE and put it into the box. and then i put it on my luggage. Inside the luggage i place in right in the center covered by lots of clothing ( the best way i can describe it is to think as Donut there is a hole in the center and u place it ur Core in the center and covered it up 360 with all ur clothing )
I have a MSI GS30 with dock. I regularly travel across the world with laptop + dock(GPU attached). Nothing has happened in the close to ~10 flights I have taken. Oh and sometimes my luggage had been mishandled. ePayitonline
Mr.Nobody, arent you concerned about electrostatic discharge between bubble wrap and gpu? Or is that not a concern if the PCIE connector is not exposed to bubble wrap?

Wendell585, I'm not familiar with the MSI dock. What size GPU are you using and how is it secured to the box? The Core X has one thumbscrew for securing the GPU.

i did Roundtrip without knowing this thing and turns out is fine. if you really concern you can place them separately. if you still have the GPU plastic cover that comes with it when you get your GPU, you can use that.
Just to follow up, I found another post in these forums from someone with the same question. They had found this carrier on Amazon. I got the same one and I highly recommend it - it is perfect for the Core X. The picture on Amazon of the product is incorrect, but don't let that prevent you from getting. It is indeed the correct item.
