I don't recall if I've responded previously or not, and I don't particularly want to sift through 6 pages of stuff to find out. Sooooo ....

What we pay for is 300mb/s down and 100mb/s down -- what we actually see in real time, where gaming companies sometimes throttle, other downloads going, network traffic and other stuff can impede what you're capable of is roughly 50mb/s down and 25mb/s up. It's fast enough to download most games very quickly and I rarely have bad pings or lag. So, it works.

No, we only got like 1MB/s down before, but now we get the full 50k

  8. that's not even the worst thing :slightly_sad: most of the content is either forbidden in my country or doesn't work :slightly_sad:
I had to spend a day fooling google to think I'm from US (vpn isn't enough) to download apps for my android phone :|

Why not try to root your device and enable the location emulator? Give it a try hop it helps.

Time Warner has been pretty good to me. I've actually heard some horror stories about Google Fiber, plus they broke the water pipes at my apartment.

    Currently: Comcast

    Speed via ipv4 181mbps down // 17mbps up // 11ms Latency // 59.99$ month (Have kept this price 4 years)

I am in an area with comcast that has unlimited usage, some areas max at 250/350/500gigs respectively. Those areas get 2 free overages a year where they do not limit. The usage resets every month. And if you do go over your 2 free, you can call up fora 3rd free overage. Anything else they can throttle you down or you can pay an overage fee of like 10$ for that month for unlimited usage.

Source: I used to work for them, Tier 2 technical support for wireless gateways

P.S. If you do have comcast and have questions contact their Security Assurance department. They have the ability to actually release your usage permanently if you get the right agent.

Edit: As far as uptime, i've gone down 2 times (both for about 4 hours) in the last 3 years. I have a direct cable-link to outside with no splitters.

    100/10 for around 30eur a month.

Will probably upgrade to 100/100 after setting up my server next year.

But since I am a gamer mainly, the ping is more important to me than the speed, and luckily have a good ping too. Across EU around 30-40, US 90.

80 up and down wired to my desktop but having problems with my wireless lately. I get about 30 up/down in my bedroom which is far from router on my mac wireless, but my Blade gets literally between 1-15 up/down at the same range from the router. Gonna call verizon and probably get a wifi range extender/booster as well
