Huntsman v2 Analog Release Point Questions

Hello everyone,

I just bought the Huntsman v2 analog and I don't understand exactly how the secondary function works and triggers.

  • Example: I set the primary press to w at 1.5 mm and the secondary to SHIFT+w at 3.6 mm. When I press the key down it triggers w first and then W when I bottom out, as expected. But when I slowly release the button it keeps triggering W, regardless of where I have set the custom release point until the key is no longer pressed. I would expect the key to stop triggering as soon as I pass the secondary release point. This is really weird and impractical.
Is this intended? Could someone please explain how this is supposed to work?

  • I also noticed that as soon as a secondary function is active, there is no repetition delay for the primary nor secondary function when I press that key. Normal behaviour would be that when I press a button in a text editor it writes one character and starts repeating after a short delay. This delay is gone. It starts repeating immediately. Making the use of a text editor when a secondary function is active impossible. I was hoping to program some secondary functions to keys to insert special characters (e.g., a diameter symbol or ß).
Is this intended or a bug in how the software and Windows interact?

  • Which brings me to my last point, which is a request. I would love to have the option to trigger a primary (and secondary) keypress just once until I release, regardless of how long I keep the key pressed. So no repetition at all. This would be much more practical for me in typing and gaming.
Is there a way to set this up or is is not implemented in the software?

Many thanks in advance for any help!
