I am livid and Razer has cost me hundreds of dollars

    I bought two peripherals as a professional animator and video producer and several months into owning them, the software has turned out to be a complete disappointment and cost me insane amounts of time trying to work backwards and even start over completely, to get my very important profiles to work.

    This started with me buying the chroma keypad and the blackwidow from Amazon, but they were so insanely clackity and THE STEALTH VERSIONS WERE NOT AVAILABLE ON AMAZON!!. So...I had to pay all the insane shipping back to Amazon and THEN wait even longer to get the so-called stealth (not stealthy) from Razer directly. This stuff is still ridiculously loud and on this layer alone, I feel cheated and owed money.

    NOW, the software is a total mess and totally unreliable.

    I do not think there is any excuse for this. I am a professional working at almost 40 dollars an hour and have invested a ton of time programming macros and colors, then memorizing the layouts, in order to dramatically speed up my work flow. What has happened is a crazy need for the software to login to the site that is not managing profiles properly and completely destroys all the work I have done.

    When contacting your "customer service" the answers did not work.

    First off, please realize that Amazon's shipping problems are not Razer's fault, I don't see a reason to complain about that on here.

    Second, Razer is "covering up" these kinds of posts because it directly against the house rules to post hate speeches such as this. (or at least I feel like it is a hate speech)

    Third, you should have done research on the noise level of the stealth keyboards before purchasing them - I understand it may be a little misleading in the title, but I almost bought one before I researched and found that they aren't as silent as traditional keyboards.

    Fourth, what are your system specifications? I currently have 5 Razer Products hooked up to my PC running razer synapse, with over 10 profiles and 40 macros. I have not had a single glitch with any of these peripherals or the software. I know from personal experience that Razer's synapse 2.0 dosent work well with lower powered machines, even if it only has one device hooked up. I know, "if its only one device shouldn't it work well?" In proper code architecture, yes, it should, but I guess synapse just isnt like that. I don't know why, but it is.

    Lastly, I dont know what's up with Razers support system. I honestly have only had to contact Razer support once (3 years ago) and I was met with very, very good results.

    Please refrain from posting anything like this again on this forum. It is honestly really discouraging to find a bunch of hate speeches just bashing Razer because the user had a bad experience. If you are an adult, making 40 $ and hour like you claim to be, please be mature about the situation and don't be as hateful as this. I understand, you work hard for your money and this product you bought with that money doesn't function well and deleted a lot of hard work. Its frustrating, yes, but please don't go this far to bash Razer.

    This is a forum for enthusiasts and gamers, not for hate speeches and product defects. Thank you for your time and experience with Razer, but please do not share these negative experiences in an inappropriate place such as this.

    Okay keyboard warrior, take a few deep breaths.

    First - the orange keys (stealth) are similar to red switches, which still make noise upon contacting the keyboard, but it prevents the click of the key.

    Second - How is it that possible that needing to login has ruined your work? Don't login and use it as a normal keyboard if it is THAT hard

    Third - The shipping cost falls on Amazon... not Razer, they don't see that money?

    Four - They have professional gamers - who if their product was failing so miserably would suffer financial losses

    In summary, you sound like you were ill-advised heading into the purchase and if you want dead-silence, stick with membrane keyboards. Or maybe a chiqlette(sp?) keyboard like the deathstalker. On top of that, a fair portion of your problems seem to stem from Amazon, not Razer. Razer is a small company in the scheme of things, who is loaded with a large influx of messages due to their recent(ish) 50% off sale. Making a thread like this to complain and lose your cool does not really help, but if you can maintain your composure on here people like @Razer|Halcyon are really helpful.

    But, maybe this specific thread is much more directed towards @Razer|Technokat, or @Min-Liang Tan himself.

    You realize this is a community forum, right? It's not like Razer Support uses this forum. So the "covering up" that you've heard about is the mods here deleting the posts because they don't work for Razer and can't do anything to help you.

    We always hope that when a post like this gets deleted, people will learn to not post this type of thread here... but it never happens.

    If you want to be heard, post on Reddit or Twitter or something.

    Good luck at getting all your MONEY and DAMAGES back!

    This is a bit more reasonable. You didn't seem so angry about return shipping then... Maybe you just need to take a step back and look at things in perspective.

    I did not complain about Amazon's shipping. I complained that Amazon did not offer the stealth versions and that surely is something to do with Razer, not Amazon.

    Secondly, this is not a "hate speech". I think the hardware is absolutely AMAZING, save the noise.

    My specs are an i74790k, 32 gigs of ram on win7 professional.

    My first post on this forum was a complete and total gushing praise of Razer. I DO NOT want to offend anyone, just voice my utter frustration with things that should be solidly working and are not. Why can I not go on the site and delete all of my profiles previously created? I have had to set my software to offline and when I reboot, the software is no longer working. The keyboard is black with no colors and my chroma is cycling colors.

    The clackity sound issues are annoying but manageable, not even close to the larger issues.

    And I know this is a community forum and I was not posting this for the company, but for others who will do their research in the same circumstances and find they are not alone. Plus others like me who are working in the field I do.

    I had to pay the shipping costs back to Amazon because RAZER did not offer the stealth versions on Amazon. I am not complaining about Amazon, I am complaining that the stealth versions were not available or even mentioned on Amazon.

    Why does Razer not offer this on Amazon? Why do they not even mention the other option?

    I am trying, believe me. I really really want this to work - I need it! Thank you for your responses. MAYBE I can find a solution to this mess with your help. Razer has not helped me.

    It may sounds really stupid man, but have you got the newest drivers here?

    Also, the stealth was released later than the original version.

    Of course! Just today I completely uninstalled the software and reinstalled, updated and spent an hour re-programming my profile for Adobe After Effects on both the keyboard and the Chroma. I checked offline only and everything was working fine. I had to do a reboot a while ago and now I am back to a completely unlit keyboard and a cycling Chroma, with no profiles available. It is asking me to log in to Razer and ...why the heck would I want to do that? The cloud completely destroys my profiles and adds "After Effects )1), (2), (1)(2), Photoshop (1)(2), Cinema 4D...etc etc etc. And the profiles do not work properly after that. Some keys do but others completely lose their functionality.

    It would also behoove you, and us, to tell us what you have tried in the case that we can at least provide some general idea of help. Generally we don't do that on this forum - but we definitely don't want a bad experience to ruin your perception of the company, or the community

    Well all profiles are remembered by their cloud based system, so without logging in you can't adjust macros, colors, or access any of your files.

    Hey there,
    Would you mind submitting your logs via Synapse?
    Click the Settings icon in the upper right, Submit Feedback, Bug Report (be sure to include log files!).

    Just some suggestions...
    Have you tried creating a new Synapse account? Perhaps it's being synced multiple times (and hence creating tons of profiles like that). Here's something I stumbled upon a while back that may also be of help.

    Oh, well I had programmed my new AE profile and it should have worked automatically when I rebooted, right?... without having to login to Razer? That is one of my points

    I will try this, thanks. But this corrupts my customer service options and I am sure they will not allow me to register the same two products across two different accounts.

    @Lafar may be onto something with a new profile. But generally synapse requires you to log in (and it should be run on start-up if you want it to be immediately, otherwise when the computer turns on it will just hit the default profile until the application runs.
