What kind of PC do you have and can it handle anything past 1080p? In my opinion, 1080 is tons of enough for gaming, And I have heard a higher Hz is a day and light difference if you are coming from a 60 hz monitor or so.

I also plan on getting a new monitor soon, And I think I might go for a 1080p 144hz monitor, Since it is also more in my budget.

Hey man thank you for the response and I have a high tier PC 1070 OC and a i7-77K...so you think its best to stay at 1080p and go higher in hz?

It totally depends on the games you play. If you play games like CS:GO or Overwatch, the 144hz display is a HUGE upgrade and should be prioritized. I personally bought a Viewsonic xg2401 and absolutely happy with it.

I would go for the higher Hz and stay at 1080p if it was me, But its all up to you. I also have never used any type of 4k monitors or tv's, So right now i'm fine with 1080p.
If you felt like saving longer too you could get something with a higher resolution and a higher Hz, But its all your decision. You PC should definitely be able to handle it.
