I will never buy Razer again.

Your software is a bloated ridiculous waste of space. It has caused issues over and over again with my Trinity Mouse. Requires a million restarts, always updating.. I just want a mouse to work and this software has junked my mouse 2x in 5 months. I had to google how you guys corrupted my mouse again then fix it by destroying profiles, uninstalling your insane bloatware, or taking parts off and put them back on again.

You realize this software is ruining your usability and reliability right? I was a Razer fan now for a decade. Your headphones lasted forever and I love them. I will never again purchase anything from this company that requires your SYNAPSE bloatware.

Did you guys hire the iTunes guys and ask how to bloat and corrupt software across platforms? Fire this software team... they are ruining good hardware.

Synapse isn’t bloatware and ITunes has also tons issue, use that for a decade. From my experience I would only update those softwares when I need to update, when no issues whatsoever I wouldn’t. I’ve 4 mice one keyboards and 3 system they’re running fine sometimes it may bug like doesn’t load profile but it’s rarely and easily to handle.

As long time razer device user you should know that synapse 2 is a bit old softwere and limited in future expand so from razer stand point is normal behavior to realse new softwere that should work in new system with posible funtionality change and long time support. Next thing is the realse of synapse 3 yes it's not a smoth expiriance becose of issues and bugs user can have right now but every update is better and one day synapse will be free of this problems.

I certainly agree that Razer Software is resource hogging (check task manager) and consumes a lot of internet bandwidth. When I keep my Razer Synapse 3 running in background, my csgo ping is high and unstable although I checked there are no updates. Also, the my Razer Tiamat 7.1v2 is still not integrated into Synapse 3 which means in order to use it at its maximum potential, I need to install Synapse 2.0 which is resource hogging on my i5 gtx1050 laptop as they run different modules. Until now although that piece of hardware is expensive, but I don't use it and kinda regret of getting it, ordinary Razer Kraken is so much better in terms of finding ear cushion replacement and audio jack compatibility and most importantly, it uses Synapse 3. Speaking of all these, I don't know why Razer customer support is very slow these days, it has been 2 days I requested for support, previously they replied to just after a day.
jfragment 's complains is legit.
But what is concerning me the most are you guys: Joikansai and BlackFireDragon
You both keep on defending the inexcusable and unforgivable: Synapse is not a good RGB management software. period.

And you both seem to be in complete denial of what the market offers now with regards to RGB devices and RGB device management.
For instance, Corsaire is entering the RGB market with a full range of high quality and compatible RGB products, RGB Cooling systems managed with a software that is way better than Synapse.

"Synapse isn’t bloatware and ITunes has also tons issue"
or
"As long time razer device user you should know that synapse 2 is a bit old softwere "

This are not excuses to continue to distribute a software that is known to bug during gaming and consumes CPU, RAM and Network resources .
5 yrs, 3 main versions and still not working - change your dev team, guys, at least the architect. outsource maybe.
>> Replace with fresh and new talented developers and you may eventually make your customers happy with Synapse.

I talked with only my experience as preference, idk how Corsair does and how good they’re since I don’t have any. I use Synapse first on Razer Edge (2013) and iTunes on mac System maybe from MacBook Pro (2012) and I mentioned their downside as well. No intend protecting Razer. I use also Synapse mostly on Razer system and can confirm it’s not a bloatware. Never feel it make slow my system even on almost 5 years system, and bug is something that comes with any software.
They’re seemly doing their best updating it and making users happy by adding chroma compatibility with other brands, chroma effects etc. You can check here for the update. Honestly I can understand you if the software interrupts your gaming experience, but so far it didn’t interrupt me on my system usage, which means it’s not bloatware to me. You should maybe report it or maybe upgrade your system if it slow your gaming experience. I saw also for example users claiming nvidia experience ruins gaming experience but like Synapse for some Blade System it’s important software to control system, so again they’re definitely not bloatware. User bugs reports may help it become perfect software.
Doesn’t it make a sense?:smile_:
Hello again,

Apologies but you cannot compare Synapse and Itune. It is like comparing tires and bananas.

I experienced mouse disconnection and freezing in PvP game due to bad contact with the Diamondback USB cable. I had same issue with the Razer Orochie. Even the Orb Weaver is losing the Key customized assignment in R6 Siege when Synapses bugs.
I even tried to purchase a new Razer Diamondback mouse, same as the previous one but more recent and used another USB port on the machine
Everything seems ok the first weeks, and guess what? Mouse disconnection again and freezing for half of a second in BFV and again, the orb weaver losing the Key banding assignment again...

"They’re seemly doing their best updating it and making users happy by adding chroma compatibility with other brands, "
You must be joking or working for Razer (and I personally believe that is the real reason behind your "pro Razer" comments all the time): "Their best" is clearly not enough compared to other brands and other softwares on the market.
>> Instead of addressing the existing falls, Razer is proposing new features and chroma compatibility with other brand to make (new) clients happy. Not the existing customers base.
All this is about getting more customers by proposing new fancy gadgets new version of hardware, new girly colors but developing a better software is clearly not a priority for Razer. And you cannot argue against that.

"User bugs reports may help it become perfect software"
>> well with this example actually proves you wrong: this doesn't apply for Razer software...
It reminds me of Apple demonstrating the new Iphone X to the public and justifying the high price by animating a Icon that looks like pop and that replicates your facial expressions.
How is that a step forward?

Both are pretty similar ITunes is needed if you have Apple products to connect with your Applebook syncing data on cloud pretty similar, how can it be banana to tire comparison, no Rgb lol?
Diamondbacks was my first Razer mouse, never had issues you’re facing, maybe your USB ports? I don’t use it anymore though since now my main is lanchead. Orochi, that thing is even awesome as my portable mouse I think since 2016 I’ve it the last model one, never disappoints me on both Bluetooth and wired connection maybe your wireless connection lol.
You should look also MSI and Alienware forums some of them also like you complaining their preinstalled software and even uninstall it, they’re thinking to gain better performance.
Here’s the thing I’m not Razer Staff only fan, that know how to handle their hardware and system. I just throw my opinion on this thread base on my experience. So you can decide it trust or not, your choice.
It’s great saying your options so they can take a look on this but not by saying not constructive negative things that doesn’t help this forum or software team for doing better. For that you can go to Reddit.
never had a issue

When reading this it is hard to consider seriously your point of view as valid.
That maybe works with younger and less experienced profiles on this forum, but not with experienced users.

I don't spend time on this forum (the Razer one) for that very same reason. We cannot discuss Razer falls here. it is only for Razer Fans and about "Razer Brand" and about how "Razer is the best".

Oh and for the records, I don't go on Reddit forum, never been there, but as an IT Director, I know how to identify if a software was poorly developed or if it is poorly supported, if issues are coming from design or from how it is used.

I love this type of comment that says very little:

Thank you mate! you solved it all!
now we know Razer products have no issue .. ever 🙂

It’s kind odd for it director to claim that one, a product doesn’t have issue, you should quoted from first sentence, was talking about Diamondbacks on Synapse 2 with my 2015 and Blade 14.
Razer doesn’t one two years company (fyi as it director the Synapse 2 is the one that is 2 years old so with all bugs it’s understandable, note gmail was 5 years on beta) they know what they’re doing, and such opinion maybe would only be noticed by fans like me as long you’re not giving good constructive critics. Yes that one is appropriate on Reddit.

Seems you miss few words in your comment - I struggle to understand your point

never had a issue simple as that... actually well i tell a lie, my black widow broke and razer quickly sent me out a new one, so yeah that was great
If I understand you correctly. you are telling us, in a thread dedicated to Synapse and its bugs, that you "never had issue, apart from a replacement for your Black Widow mice"

You understand this tread is not about Razer mice, but about Razer Synapse issues and bugs, potentially bugging with mice from other brands?
yes, no issues with software, just the 1 with the hardware. FYI black widow is a keyboard not a mouse

UPDATE: Razer support contacted me (used 2 days okay, slower than previous support but better than none, but problem not fixed ==, please don't make it another 2 days I have to wait for the reply)

By the way, I would say bloatware isn't really suitable to describe Razer Synapse. Instead, unoptimized is more suitable, just like playing Assasins Creed Unity previously on GTX 1080 graphic card but get 30-40 fps (before Ubisoft optimized it by patch).

I gotta admit Razer Synapse has improved over time but the problem is the improvement made was too slow.

Razer was known for best chroma system (especially hardware (bright RGB)), and their good looking design. Therefore, bringing new line and designed products such as mercury and quartz can generate more income by attracting more buyers. More income means more R&D for both hardware and software. So clearly, if Razer wanna prioritize that instead of software which mostly serve existing customers, I would stand in line with Razer for this part.

However, I agree with you that Razer need to push the Razer software developer team to buckle up and improve it more.

Firstly, add all the Razer hardware to allow it to be controlled by a single software, Razer Synapse 3 and remove support for Razer Synapse 2.

Secondly, make Synapse 3 to be available in 2 update types like Xiaomi, which consists of beta and stable. In this way people can choose according to their usage of the software. (Beta for testing purposes but with minor reward (maybe Razer Silver?) and stable for users who just want to use it for daily usage without much problem).

Thirdly, (I am not sure whether it is practical but if yes it would be nice) Performance Mode and Standard Mode.
Performance Mode: Make all essential process when gaming work only and minimum computer resources are used.
Standard Mode: Computer resources are used in normal required manner.

What do you think?
I think this is great ideas here.
would like to see that reflected in the software.
