Just a small discussion to see what people would want on a Razer Blade 14 that it lacks personally for them.

If I could I would add:
    • IR sensors for windows hello
    • Allow charging through thunderbolt 3 port (for external batteries, not for core)
    • No buttons on trackpad (personal preference)
    • Volume up, down and mute key
    • Chroma logo
    • Chroma trackpad (like on Blade Pro)
    • Add another thunderbolt 3 port which is connected directly to the gtx 1060 for multi monitor setups
I know that some of these things could be unrealistic but I personally think they would be good ideas, I'd like to hear yours too!

Perhaps a convertible hinge? Screen hinge that allows it to bend all the way back.

I currently have a convertible laptop. I. Love. It. I have another monitor at my desk and put the laptop into "presentation mode" to conserve a ton of desk space. It's also really nice for reading long papers.

Personally, I'd prefer thin bezels over color accuracy...

Better TrackPad / Ambient light sensor / SD Card Reader / better speakers.

less bezels, i mean you could probably fit in a bigger screen with bezels like on the xps

I would say chroma lighting under the laptop, like the alienwares. I would also think that another usb port would be nice, and also the possibility to add another ssd into it for recording and such. I dislike having jittery recordings because the blades read and write somehow adnt up to par to play overwatch and have smooth recording at the same time. (Shadowplay)

I agree with a lot of your choices. Clicky Chroma trackpad FTW.

Need to ditch the HDMI port asap. Some people are annoyed that the GTX 1060 card interfaces only through HDMI (I would be too).

Logo needs to be a neutral color when off and Chroma enabled.

I think I want black USB ports instead of lime green ... but I would rather have all TB3/USB-C ports anyway.

Oh and of course, 10 hours battery life and NO bezels. Hey, you did say "ANYTHING" ;)
+1 for 2-in-1 hybrid convertible form factors. I really think it's the best way to leverage a touchscreen. You haz a Lenovo Yoga?

I agree about the black USB ports and more TB3 but I don't want to plug in my Razer mamba TE with a damn dongle xD

Agreed, that would be epic, the more chroma the better!

If all the above things got implemented my life would be perfect haha

I would agree with smaller bezels and also the trackpad, get rid of the two dedicated buttons and just make it the same as the razer blade stealth. Tbh I wouldn't want a flexible hinge to make the razer blade 14 into a 2-in-1, it would be too heavy to hold as a tablet but it would make sense to make the much lighter razer blade stealth with that hinge.

    probably a toaster.
  14. I'd want a 1070 or Kaby Lake more than anything but since those are so major I'd say smaller bezels for the purpose of this thread. A force touch thing like apple has would be awesome too.
  15. - New Chroma clicky track pad
    - less bezels
    - more common resolutions for screen (maybe 2560x1440 or 4K...)
    - illumination of secondary functions on keyboard
    - Magnetic charger

I'd add 2 more screens to it (14" Project Valerie)

It will perhaps increase the height to 1.2 inches, which is fine enough for a native 3 screen form factor.

I see how a convertible hinge would be nice for those that have the touchscreen model, as I can't really imagine using it in its standard laptop position.
Though, on my 2016 FHD Blade my one major change would definitely be backlighting the secondary functions of the number and function keys, as this was the only downside to my upgrade from an older Razer Blade.
I would also like to see improvements made to the "quiet mode" for times when I'm in class or in a quiet place doing minimal tasks. I also think the suggested magnetic charging cable would be a nice touch as well.
Personally, I would prefer to leave the trackpad as is, since I like to avoid the usual flashiness of gaming laptops and prefer having actual buttons.

Smaller bezzels, magnetic charging port (srsly pls), probably update the black finish. I'm always afraid to touch it due to finger prints. The 2016 model is way better than 1st gen 2013, but it's still annoying.

If we were to speak realistically the main problem with a 1070 would be the heat (also price would go up a reasonable amount)

    Yes please haha

Razer blade 14, now comes with toasting capabilities for gaming toast on the go
