IF YOU were choosing a new Razer Gaming Laptop today...given what you know...

I am looking to get a new gaming laptop, primarily for MSFS 2020 but with the need to have a high-performing machine for years to come. MSFS at max settings needs significant GPU power and I am likely to be running up to 3 monitors, one of them being 40". I will be moving between 2 locations with it so I do need portability. With all of you having experience with different systems, I figured I would ask you.

Prices are at the time of this post
1. Razer Blade 17 - RTX 3080 TI $4,300 (i9 - 12th)
2. Razer Blade 17 - RTX 3070 TI $3,400 (i9 - 12th)
3. Razer Blade 15 - RTX 3080 TI $4,000 (i9 - 12th)
4. Razer Blade 15 - RTX 3070 TI $3,300 (i9 - 12th)
5. Given RTX 40 series, I should wait for those options to come out
6. Given Core X options, I should choose Option 2, save the $900 for now, add Core X and use it for 40 Series expansion in a year to boost.
7. Given the Core X options, I should get a non-gaming specific laptop (prefer Razer but maybe other options) and use Core X from the start with RTX 40 Series
8. Something way different which I might not be considering.

Much appreciate the community support. I will share the results with everyone. Thanks in advance.

If you want slim device go with blade 17 with i7 and 3080ti i9 don’t have that match diffrence in performance. Next thing is slim devices go faster getting hot so the performance is little lower as thick laptop where the air have more room to be spreed out. No matter what laptop you will get you must know no laptop will give you the same performance as desktop pc. Also some brands have own gpu connectors like example Alienware. I hope this will help you.

Well, it looks like you are right on the processors. https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i9-12900H-vs-Intel-Core-i7-12800H/m1757877vsm1760724
Saves $400 but you do lose out on the UHD screen resolution option when you do that. Only 2% slower overall CPU but it does drop from 3840x2160 to 2560x1440 or 1920x1080 resolution, right? It is frustrating because the Razer Website lists the coded options and not the resolution results.

yeap but in real file even with core i9 and 3080ti 4k gaming is still a [rob;em why becose becose notevery game will run in the state you can play it most of them works around 15 to 38fps and very small number most of them is older games above 60fps. You can find this on youtube reviews or google. Next thing is g-sync on i9 you dont have it and on 2k screen you do this gives more smooth same on laptop itself when you dont use external monitor next thing is refresh rate on i9 you have 144hz on 2k screens 240 and 360. Next is native resolution is better to run games/apps on native resolution ratter then lower it.
