I have a Razer Naga Chroma - trying to make pressing the scroll wheel act as mouse 3 or middle mouse. Is it the "scroll click" option? If I choose that then go into games and try to use that as a keybind, it is not recognized as an input and waits for me to press something else. Wat do?

I have a Razer Taipan mouse, and have the same question, which wasn't answered. My "scroll wheel click" isn't recognized in games at all. I want it to be recognized as Middle Click. How can I get the scroll wheel click to be recognized in games? Now, when I click the mouse wheel in game, nothing happens. It's as if the mouse wheel click has been disabled, but it has not. It is set in Synapse Customize as Scroll Wheel Click, the default.

I've had the mouse for years, and don't remember having this problem before. I haven't used the mouse in over a month until yesterday, so I'm wondering if a Synapse software or some driver update created the problem within the last few months?

I'm on Windows 10 x64, fully updated.

Please help.

Edit: I found that I must press down rather hard on the mouse wheel after it clicks to get the action recognized. I guess the mouse hardware is failing. There appears to be no way to take apart the Taipan to get at the insides (no screws), so I guess I should get a new mouse soon.

Screws are located underneath the Taipan label (2x below upper feet, and one up to bottom feet).
I don't know what exactly model of the middle button switch is installed, but it should be also fairy cheap to replace it (needs to be resoldered).
