I thought I saw it being done in one review I watched. Now I own one and can't figure it out. Is it possible to just light up a few of the keys?

Do you have the base model or advanced blade 15? The base model does not have per key lighting (only a single zone), but the advanced does have per key lighting.

I also assume you are using Razer Synapse 3. The laptop has pre-loaded color effects such as wave, but you can go into the Chroma Studio tab and customize the lighting to what you want.

I have the like mid-grade one with the 80HW battery, 144hz screen, 512 gb ssd, thinner with no ethernet port, but still a 1060, and yes I am using the synapse3 that came loaded on it.

There’s chroma studio on that Synapse as @Jenjar said for doing what you want. You can scroll down to this guy Blade 15 walkthrough, to check how does it look like.

I like your description:smile_:
I just can't figure out how to turn the light OFF on keys in Chroma Studio. I can change their color, change the effect, brightness, etc, but cannot find OFF for single keys.

You can choose colors that you like on your preferred keys and don’t do that on keys that you don’t want to be lighted.
If you want all no color at all, go to left side from advanced effect to system lightning and turn the brightness to 0.
