This is a great idea, but even with the time limit on posts for new members, this might encourage spamming and less productive comments.

Anyway, I guess it still has the potential to bring about certain people who will have productive comments.

If a product has a current promo associated with it (ie., BW Chroma currently has a code for the Enhancement Kit) can the 15% off peripherals insider reward be used at the same time?

I believe there's a certain number (fixed amount) of posts that a new member may post within a 24 hour period.

But hey - there are numerous improvements to be made. :)

unfortunately they cannot monitor that. maybe they can put some parameters like your post should be 50++ words for it to be valid.

We do monitor post length such as one-liners and one-word posts. We can't always consolidate posts or do anything about them, other than warn posters via Private Conversation and report them to Razer staff. However, we most certainly do keep track and communicate among the moderators and the Razer staff about the people who are repeat offenders. While that won't disqualify anyone from reaching the 120 post count and the rewards, at least not currently the way they're set up, at least 120 is a very small amount, all things considered.

that is good to know sir. at least the forums is still being monitored . but again maybe we can add some security features like captcha. you know maybe they are using third party programs to spam or something. or like what i said add some parameters on the comments or post. like 50++ because moderating a forum is not an easy task. just being cost effective :)

@Ivanborgiey - keep in mind that those of us who are flagged as Community Moderators are not paid at all. We're just free volunteers who love being here and are willing to donate our time. So, having us around really has no impact on cost. LOL

As for @Razer|Technokat being here is part of his job as Community Manager, so I figure it's working as intended there. hehehe

I'll be honest, for most of us who do monitor the forums the stuff that bothers us the most are the folks who genuinely want to participate and be helpful, but they spam the hell out of everything with one-word, one-line or one-photo posts that could've just been a "Like" or something where these posts really don't contribute much of anything. Sometimes they're amusing, to a degree, but technically those still break the House Rules and it's really hard for us to come down on people who mean well but truly seem to wish to participate but are still technically not following the rules.

I believe it was 10 from what people have said, though I'm not certain.

I'll be honest, if we were actual Razer employees I'd be soooo into that!!!
omg, there's no words at how cool it would be to say "I work for Razer!" That would totally make my year. lol :)

However, I'm completely content to volunteering for them and just doing what I can. I've been with this community since October of 2014 and I'm very passionate about it's success. The first couple months here were very special and I grew quite attached to what they were trying to put together, it was just a bonus that it happened to be with Razer. @Razer|Technokat was a bit more active back then (mind you, it was also very small. lol) and he made us initial beta members feel super special for being here, and it's a feeling I still have to this day. btw - love you @Razer|Technokat you're awesome, I think there are many of us from the beginning who are still here specifically because we got to know *you* and it really made us feel at home here. :)

Lately, since joining the volunteer moderator program, I've been fortunate to start getting to know @Razer|Halcyon as well, and he's a great guy! I had no idea that the staff here was so entertaining outside of "business mode" and that they were so much fun. lol

@Overtask - I can't prove it one way or the other because A) I've been a "well-known-member" for a long time and B) now I'm a volunteer mod -- but I have a sneaky suspicion that that the longer you're a member the more posts you can make. Not by a whole lot, mind you, but I think eventually it does scale to a degree.

@Demons669 I think that's my favorite part about what Razer is doing here with this program. It's soooo easy to jump in and start reading and make 120 posts and get up to the max level of rewards. If you here, you're probably buying Razer stuff anyway, so why not get a few extras and be rewarded for being a fan? I don't know any other big companies that do that. :)
