I think that's quite reasonable, if the paid to play features are so accessible it just opens up opportunities for people that just want to earn money by reselling those products. I would consider more of the fans that truly want to enjoy a gaming experience with razer peripherals. Tracking existing customers through razer synapse is really practical and effective for this approach. Really good idea there.

First of all there is no need to be aggressive, specially when you don't know what you are talking about.
I'm from Portugal and there is no store here. There is only 1 European warehouse that ships to all Europe.
The shipping fees are affected by each country shipping laws, as you should know, and if your country's laws discourage companies like Razer to offer free shipping that's just bad luck.
One more thing, this thread is to discuss the problem of people who are not fans abusing the P2P program, specifically the solution some fan proposed.

PS: You should learn some day that LIFE IS NOT FAIR!

Your argument is pretty strong but the whole reason for Razer to do this is to give some gears too those that are a little bit less fortunate and a reason to try really hard to grind on games. But this is just my POV for you it might be different.

But cant you understand that most Razer Products are pretty high priced that's the whole reason for why they are doing the zSilver campaign.

I didn't take the time to read all the 18 pages of comments so I don't really know if it has been says or not but for those who are saying that life isn't fair, I have to say that not every one has a Lamborghini, a Ferrari or an Aston Martin. If you don't have the money to get something, just work your ass off even more then maybe you could get what you want. Seriously, don't hate Razer for their price or what they offer. Same for Apple and their Iphone.. They ask for about what, a thousand bucks or more? I'm not very sure.. But the point is if you're willing to pay this price for a product is that you want it. I you really want your Razer product, you'll have to pay and that's it. Most people that earn Razer gear are just asking their parents and they are saying no because you don't work your ass off to get it or to prove that you deserve it.

So at the end of the day I think it could be a great idea and not to harsh to give this opportunity too those who are willing to buy Razer gear.

Half of what you said was just wrong and you basically called me dumb. I just don't care anymore. I'm here helping people and if you feel like you know everything just go ahead and enlighten us all.

It's really reflects badly on those who actually complaints about getting a free stuff doing what they love doing, gaming. and worst still, to sell it away for their benefit. However restricting zsilver via synapse might not work that well especially if the person has the intention of selling away the products they gotten via Razer P2P program. They can easily just get a razer mouse and start farming zsilver, or they probably already had one they gotten previously with all the zsilver they gotten. It just make it slightly harder for reseller but doesn't stop them.

Perhaps some system could be implemented to prevent reselling? Probably some activation required and no transfer to a different synapse ID. Say synapse would not work if it's being sold to another person.

This will probably deter people from buying resale Razer items via ebay or whatsoever channels.

I just bought a new keyboard and a new mouse. Now I couldn't be able to give it or sell it to my friend? Sounds weird to me :/ I still would change the fact that if they start farming those zsilver, when they will receive their gear from P2P, they won't connect it before selling it so the "activation" wouldn't get done until the buyer received his resale keyboard..

Yup, but I'm referring more to people who claim free items to resell for benefit. If you purchase it via razerstore or authorized seller, why not?

However since the item was redeemed with your Razer ID logged in. It could be a possibility to lock the item S/N to that specific account? Just my 5cents worth.

Yeah I'm just thinking that it would be a big thing to check every S/N every time they leave the warehouse and then resaller like best buy/amazon etc.. They will have to check this too.

That would work for warranty, making the buyer unable to use the warranty, unless the seller does the process.

Only products through P2P would need this, therefore only Razer warehouse needed to check this before sending.

I have to say that I didn't thought about this. I guess you're right on that point but still an other job to add to say that: "Oh that guy got this through P2P.. We need to tag his device as a P2P gift and make it non resalable and.. Oh this guy bought it from his own money.. Let's not tag it.."

As a guy who as worked in a warehouse before, I guess that at this point it would be more than a challenge for the administration to get their "warehouse guys" to do the job well.

At the end, it's not that bad of an idea but you would still have to work with some problem at the end

I'm not too thrilled with this idea. You may end up alienating a lot of your potentially new and/or existing customers if poorly implemented. It also reduces the opportunity for new customers to experience razer products and establishing brand loyalty.

Maybe you should have two programs. One for existing customers who purchased products (better rewards or easier rewards) and another for new customers (could be the existing system).

It has been a while since this has been posted and nothing really came out of it yet, but that is what many people wanted from the start. If they were to do something like this I would like new people still to be able to use the program, but maybe a bit of a bonus to people who use Razer gear just as a thanks or something. I don't really like the idea of excluding people who don't have products, rather it be from not having the funds to buy anything or just not being able too (area limitations etc..).

I think it's better to give priority to the one who owns Razer Gear.
For example, create a giveaway event where the Razer Gear that you have = number of entries.
That way, you didn't alienate the potential customers, but also prioritize the one that has been loyal to you.

I don't have any Razer gear, but I've been grinding to try and afford a Deathadder Elite, and I don't love the idea of having to own Razer gear to be eligible. I'd be OK with the idea @Jenjar said, of having better rewards for people who own Razer gear, but I don't think you should take away the option of getting things for free.

It'll be Razer's call at the end of the day since it's their program.

But like I've mentioned earlier in the thread, it would be better to lower or remove the zSilver earned from free-to-play games, and those should never be included with the Double zSilver weekends. It's never good to reward the freemium model.

Also, if they'll stick with the current program wherein users with and without Razer gear could earn, and if they'll continue to allow freemium games for the program then at the very least require users without Razer gear to be playing B2P or P2P games. I think not having Razer gear, supporting freemium games, and earning zSilver in the process is just too much, since you're not really helping anyone by support freemium games.

@Reaver You just sound so sellfishly and enviously...

Let me guess something. You are not using paid-to-play system, its not your priority or you have lot of the paid bigger games on steam and you dont have a problem playing paid games fot zSilver, so you are being envious for those who can earn zSilver playing free games. You have enough money and it's not hard for you to get any Razer stuff you want, or just your mommy and daddy are buying you everything you want. And for that reason you pour s*it here against those who can not afford Razer gear. So calm down and dont leave such envious posts if Im right. Just because you probably bought all you Razer gear, doesnt means all of us can afford it :wink_:.I suggest, next time put yourself in the place of others before pouring s*it here, damn. Sorry if Im not right.

And for all of you who think Razer is losing money for us, the poors. I think thats not right. Be gratefull because I dont know any other company doing this for its fans and it's very nice, but I guess Razer earn enough from advertising these games through their paid to play program. If Razеr does not make a profit( I doubt), at least they are not losing money.

I won't say that you're right or not.. As you said, Razer is one of the only company that has a program like this. But if you put it this way, if you want a Rari or a Lamborghini but don't have enough money to afford it.. Well I guess you won't get it. Instead you'll get a Honda Civic 1999. If you don't have the money to buy an Iphone, a Razer phone or only a cheap 200$ Keyboard.. Don't come and "s*it" on people that can afford it if you're not able to. Why would he have to put himself in the place of the others? Pretty sure he's good enough where he at.. And that's for everyone. If you can't afford something in life just fuck grind to get it by your own or just ask your parents (for those who CAN do it)

This is a great idea, i mean, owning razer products should be the minimum requirement to benefit from this awesome deal. In doing so once you remove those freeloaders, maybe you can implement even more double cap for all games or something haha. Earning silver takes lots and lots of grinding and given the expiry date now... its gonna be tough
