It's just me being so desperate to replace my current laptop. My 970M is showing signs of aging. The 6-core goodness and 1070 Max-Q would definitely be something for my work.... and play :D

I'm totally with you there. I've had mine on pre-order since June 16th... back in the days June was the release date ;)

Razer when will the 144hz be back in stock in the UK??? It's been sold out for weeks!

Restock soon please, or the music producers will be stuck with a half eaten apple again...Sad times.

I got my 4k blade yesterday and it’s great. I came here and saw a lot gripes about the new 2018 15” and not a lot of praise.

Battery life isn’t great with stock settings and I need to tweak that. Most people are complaining about PSU whine, light bleed screen or bad keyboard and I have none of those issues.

My 4k also came with a thermal pad on the SSD who’s is a mod a lot of people were doing themselves.

I do graphics and 3D modeling so the 4k sceeen was a must. I upgraded the SSD to 2tb Evo and Ram to 32gb and it was easy.

The screen is bright and inside at least I have to turn the brightness down. 50-60% Brightness seems good.

    That's awesome information. Thank you!

I was concerned due to all the negative experiences people keep posting.
I'm in the same arena as you, I need this for mobile 3D rendering and motion graphics work, so macbook's just dont cut it any more. My 4K arrives tomorrow night, so hopefully i'll have a smooth experience like yours!

Which RAM did you upgrade with?
Is it capable of taking over 2666mhz? I noticed some 3200 modules on amazon etc.
    Keep us updated!

If I don’t have Core v2, I’ll get that chroma stand it has USB ports for extra pheriperals and can also help cooling system by making fans grill areas free for blowing the heat better.

Thank you. That sounds like a good option. Do you think buying a core would be too much ? I just want a docking that will allow me to use external monitor, LAN, keyboard and mouse.

External monitor could use DP/HDMI or TB3 port, lan can use usb type A to Ethernet adapter, unless you want one cable solution, you have to look other TB3 docking station that includes ports you want to have. No Razer Core without gpu, only for docking purposes is too expensive, you can get for around €140 or maybe lower some usb c/TB3 docking like this. Before I had Core, I use that and it helps my previous Blade better breathing which rising a bit Blade Position for smoother airflow, though it was with usb c to A type adapter since it’s for usb c port on left side, since Blade TB3 on right side.

  12. Well, I THOUGHT I had a 4K in my hands today until I opened it up, popped off the bottom and swapped SSDs, opened the lid only to see...144 MHz. Reading comprehension fail for HIDevolution. Doubly sad because I called them and verified that they actually had them, they assured me they did and yeah...

Finally got my RB today, and super happy with it so far!

Just wanted to check if there been any solution found for synapse not starting anymore at boot? I found as well that the task I scheduled for Throttlestop is not starting, and the config for keyboard layouts is not loaded immediately too (like I can't switch layouts right at the start)

I had that exact problem actually. I simply killed the Razer synapse process via the task manager, then manually restarted it and I haven't had a problem with it starting up at boot since, although I've only rebooted a few times....

Yes another 4K Blade 15 user, I think not from Hongkong reported same. Does your friend has thermal issue with that? Graphite coating is actually helping a lot for reducing the heat but if it on the real implementation on Blade thermal design is unnecessary and doesn’t make influence to the temperature or maybe even avoiding heat to spread out well that make it higher i can understand. But if it make thermal worse or even just for cost down in production I’m against it.
And that SSD thermal pad, is it applied by Razer? I saw also btw recently 4K Blade user said it’s applied by manufacturer, If it’s that means Razer try something to reduce overall heat.
