Razer is not all that it's cracked up to be. Calm the fuck down.

Maybe a dumb question, but has anybody used the Blade 15 with a Apple Thunderbolt Display, not the original cinema but the thunderbolt 2 ones, if not does anyone know if it would at least work ok when plugged into the mini display port. I’m wondering because there are a few of these displays at my work.

Does anyone that has Blade 15 do any architectural design work like with Revit or similar programs. If so how does it perform. I’m assuming it do good just would like to hear firsthand. Thanks

Already answered here. OP didn’t understand that the black paint isn’t graphite compound, the coat I think it isn’t visible when I’m not wrong.
Unfortunately according this thread it doesn’t work.

Instead painting vapor chamber black they add thermal pad for ssd unlike previous production unit. Poeple who got this model will save around €10 and time to apply thermal pad on ssd. I heard it’s low the temperature almost half. Believe me on thin light laptops you’ll want lower temperature than fancy black vapor chamber that you won’t see on daily usage.

Hiiii.. I’ve been using a Macbook pro 17 which died couple of days ago. I have two thunderbolt displays daisychained – (thunderbolt 2 ports).

I was thinking about going for Razer Blade 15.6 (2018) or Razer Blade Pro 17 as my replacement due to its high end graphics performance and good thermal management. As I understand there is a thunderbolt 3 / USB-C port.

Will I be able to connect Apple thunderbolt display with this device without any problem? (by use of a thunderbolt 3 to TB2 converter?

I really scared after purchasing if that doesn’t work everything is going to be in vain.

I’m sure all geniuses could have tried this somewhere

Really appreciate your input , were u able to get it working?

    Thank you!

Except that painting the vapor chamber black supposedly lowers the temperature as well. Razer claims that adding a thermal pad for SSD reduces the temperature about the same amount as the black paint. We can apply thermal pads ourselves but I don't think we can paint the vapor chamber black in a way that reduces heat.

I think that Razer should have both the black paint and the thermal pad for the upcoming Razer Blade 15 with GeForce 20 graphics for some of us who are waiting for that model. :)
It would make up for the potential increase in TDP even though I think Nvidia will drop the RTX cores for the laptop variant in favor of better thermals and raw performance.

I wonder what kind of improvements we will be seeing in a new Razer Blade 15 with GeForce 20 graphics. Maybe we will see both black vapor chamber and added thermal pad to the SSD to further reduce the heat. I'm hoping to see a glossy display option as well with better colors and higher refresh rate.

A new system is long overdue for me and I only held out knowing that the GeForce 20 series graphics are on the way this year. Please release a new one Razer or I may end up getting one from another brand that releases the GeForce 20 on time. I can only wait for so long.

Mobile 20 series may come in 2019, not so fast i think. Blade is always refreshed every year so next one may with new Turing gpu, but since 2070 later on October release, other chips like mid range including mobile gpu that mostly for mobile market may come later. According to some analyzers cristal ball, mobile won’t be out this year since Turing isn’t as power efficiency as Pascal with all its new architecture with some predictions that xx60 and below won’t be named as RTX due possibility lack of this feature. With beast card 2080ti, it couldn’t Ray Tracing well over 60fps on 1080p. I might be wrong though.

Razer Blade 15 19% off for those who live in Germany! Only 2 days free tax deal from Saturn and mediamarkt.
