Maybe they demo'd or saw the product being used in an event or by family/friends but don't actually own one? They might not have used Razer products per se but I'm sure they at least used a mouse and keyboard in their lives at some point to know how different Razer's own might be and want one.
I appreciate a lot of expensive headphone brands for example, I can't afford every pair of headphones I like but I HAVE used headphones before enough to know which is good and which isn't and how some brands can be superior to others. Being an enthusiast/fan means I closely follow that brand and keep up with all it's latest releases even if I don't actually own their products at the very moment. People can appreciate items even if they don't have them, that's in fact why they are driven to buy those products in the first place.

To a degree, you have a point, but when I see someone say they are a fanatic it just befuddles me.

Absolutely. If you weren't enthused about Razer, you wouldn't buy it. And let's be honest, the (financial) barrier to entry with Razer is high (but totally worth it). You'll be enthused a good while before your first Razer purchase.

You never had a crush on a girl? :D

Are you really really sure you're a chocolate AND Razer enthusiast? Because I've gotten my hands on a secret Razer product rendering...

I'm entirely enthusiastic about the Razer Nabu, yet I've never touched it, seen it in real life or even used any other smart band/watch. Doesn't mean I can't be enthusiastic about it based upon what I have seen and read!

I would say yes, you can be a fan of razer without owning their gear.

I was a fan for a long time before I bought their stuff, mainly because I liked the way razer operated, creating gear that they would want to use. It struck me as a company to follow, and I now own quite a bit of razer gear and love all of it.
