I am a bit worried about the battery life of my new razer blade. For instance I charged it twice today, only doing minimal work, mostly browsing, no gaming. Yesterday, I have played Witcher for approx 2 hours from full until 7%. I have also noticed that it'll drain by itself, on standby from full in approximately 3 hours, ie by virtually doing nothing but standby, power saving mode, all these brightness 25% or lower.

Is there a more exact way to test it and ideally see consumption by process/service?

  2. I saw the consumption monitor on HWmonitor app. Or try check Power Usage on windows settings. There's a tap that shows which apps are draining batterys. :)

If you want to check what processes keep it running, do ctrl+shift+esc and you will open task manager, and it should be easy to see what is naking your cpu run. My 2016 blade with the 970m gets around 6 hours of youtube, so thats peculiar. I also use 0% brightness, power saver, and battery saver.

I will try to compare with your numbers, will post back my results. The task manager didnt help much. I have used the ms autoconfigurator to cut down on some of the many services/apps that start automatically, but my subjective observations didnt improve at all so far. Thanks for your help.
