Just received my Razer Edge. It has different specs that advertised.

The RazerEdge handheld is showing 6Gb of RAM in both apps and in the OS, and the SOC is showing as the Snapdragon 888. So far, it doesn't appear to be displayed as the G3X Gen 1 anywhere, and the 6GB of RAM is less than the 8GB advertised.

What are my options for returning it without having to pay for return shipping since this item is not the item I ordered?
Ouch.. just noticed im also running 6gigs of RAM.

Ran it through geekbench.

Same here, wifi version only reports 6GB of ram and a SD888, which is not what was advertised when I placed the order. How disappointing. . .
Whoa wait... Saw the stealth change.

Can we confirm that we have the G3x still and it's just awaiting approval?

Also, heads up don't forget the tech specs on Xbox's site:

This is a big problem, we got sold a product that might not be anything that we thought we were getting. Also the nexus app that comes preinstalled is not even the updated Kishi virtual mapping, and there is no way to update the app on it.

This is very shocking the thing I self noted about razer was how the fps, ram, and battery were the same thru out all pricing options. Razers the only company I feel to have good intentions in general with the trees and recycling.
This is why no one received a review unit, they knew what they were doing.
They are not shipping a lot of preorders until after February 8. I reserved mine on jan 5 and ordered it on the 24th. It never had a tracking number and last night they gave me a 20$ gift card and a I'm sorry. I'm pissed. I could order any handheld and have it here before my preorder over a month ago arrives. I suspect they don't want the wifi razer to have 8gigs of ram.
"Oops! You caught us. Here's a 25$ gift card only good in the Raver store."

What a terrible response. I'm livid and going to get the credit card company involved in this.
This was a parts bin money grab scam from the start:

G3X gen 1 is actually a SD888
The "active cooling" is cosmetic, the SD888 is throttling in stress tests like a 2 year old passively cooled phone.
8gb of ram actually 6gb
They screwed the shit out of me.. they won't even give my money back I screenshot it. Well not until they ship it, received it, and send it back. Why won't they just keep it and give my my money
About 1 hour later I got a email apologizing it was mislabeled on the site. I'm like wtf, for how many months if not a year was the specs posted....

I haven't sent mine back. How much was it shorted? I may be one of the few early adopters who kept it. Mainly because I want to see where the next firmware/software takes it and the RMA process sounds like a pain.

I'm hoping 30 years from now when I'm a grandfather, I get to tell my grand children... "Razer really put in the effort and made us 'no ragrets'. Unlike this tattoo I got from Cabo."

$30.53
$30.53 of $399 = 7.65%

Sounds like sales tax was withheld.
Sales tax for me in 6%. But regardless, they have no right to withhold that.
Nope they can't hold that 100%.

Strange dollar amount, just trying to make sense of where that percentage could be a cut from.

Looking through their policy, there's restocking fee of 15% at physical stores (where I got one), but I couldn't find one for razer.com

7.65% is just weird to withhold.
They gave us all a $25 razer store gift card as a "oops sorry my bad" for their screwup. I guess they figure they can withhold some refund in order to cover that gift card expense lol
They refuse to answer my question as to why they didn't give a full refund so I had to open a case with my credit card.

I never thought a company that has been around as long as Razer could be so horrible when they make a mistake that they did and do everything they can to not make it right with the customer.
