    Hello everyone!

As you can tell I'm here to request help on done audio issues I've been having with my Kraken 7.1 V2.

I've had the headset for almost a year nowwith no issues. However, today when messing with the Kraken surround sound and EQ settings I noticed that I had an updatefor synapse. After the update completed and I restarted my computer I booted up discord and Apex Legends and noticed immediately that the sound quality had changed. I tried literally every solution I could find on the internet, contacted live chat customer support and tried their solutions then finally tried all I could think up.

Now this is my last ditch effort to get some help before switching brands. I've got to say that I've been buying Razer products for nearly 10 years now. I've had nothing but problems with Razer headsets but have had great experiences with other Razer peripherals.

    Here is my issue:
After the synapse update my headset audio went from crisp and clear to muffled and distant. I've experienced this sound with Razer headsets before but only when Razer Surround turned off mid use. However, since purchasing this headset I have not been using razer surround. In fact, it wasn't even installed. However I was able to mimic this same effect without Razer Surround by turning on Windows Surround 7.1 the turning it back off.

All I know is that I made no changes before updating synapse and restarting my computer. I would do a system recovery if I had made one before hand but I didn't find it necessary.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I love Razer products and would love to return to streaming asap!

Would hate to have to wait for a new headset to ship in and leave the fans hanging!

Well nothing has worked and I'm giving up.

Just went and ordered a HyperX Cloud II 7.1 headset.

    RIP Razer headsets.

Will continue to use other peripherals, but never a single Razer headset.
I now have a collection of 5 headsets from the past couple years that have all gone to waste.

Confirmed that his is a Razer issue. My HyperX Cloud II headset came in. No audio issues with no changes to the system.
