Kraken Kitty Edition Occasionally and randomly disconnecting

Hi!
As the title says, I have a Razer Kraken Kitty Edition and it's been working great for nearly a year now, but I found recently after I plug it in it works okay but randomly cuts out every now and then, and after a few hours it will start cutting in in and out like crazy and effect my other audio devices, making them glitch out....
It's strange because the error seems to occurr very occasionally at first, but then after a few hours it just goes haywire.

I've inspected the wire and bent it lightly in various places while listening but have been unable to find an obvious dodgy spot. I've also tried it in various USB ports and on different computers, my main computer is a mac and I have the internal drive partitioned to have windows and the same error occurrs...

So in summary, it works fine with a few occasional blips at first, then it majorly freaks out and messes up other audio devices, making them disconnect and reconnect.
I have all the right drivers and the USB connection is solid, plus other headsets I've tried have worked fine, so I'm really at a loss. I was hoping perhaps someone here might have any suggestions or tips?
