Recently just jumped into KTE from Kraken v2 and I gotta say for 100 bucks I don't feel impressed. Overall through the course of a week right now I feel they are great movie watching headsets and not gaming ones.
I don't have a lot of experience with Synp 2 besides my keyboard and mouse and changing minimal things. Right now my main games are Modern Warfare and Ghost Recon, Battlefield V, games along those lines.
I have to say the most depressing thing and either underwhelming or overwhelming thing to me is how useless the positional hearing/ surround sound setting is on the KTE headset and how Synp seems to not have any real answer to it besides switching to game mode, as well not being able to get a dialed in amount of bass. It seems game mode though feels better I feel there is still to much bass and movie like over giving vital info like footsteps. Kv2 seemed very good at giving me an idea of where people where to me, I had more options it felt like at least software wise where I could get it dialed in without issue. I've used the audio controller but going up and down doesn't get me to where i feel dialed in, and using Synp doesn't cut it either. I'm tempted to return them unless someone has input on how to dial them in correctly because I am lost. They feel great, and have great sound but listening for people I feel like I lost an edge and have to focus more on the sound than I did in the KV2. Plus side is the mic is fantastic, got lots of compliments on how clear it sounded, liked it a lot.

MY next question would be how are the black sharks v2 or what is recommended? I tried some on at Best Buy and they felt good and sound was decent similar to KV2 but without any hours or actual trial I have no clue. So I turn to you, where do the Blackshark stand between KV2 and and the KTEs? Are they better? Is the support on Synapse feel more where you can dial them in via the software or do I look for another pair of kraken v2?
Also wondering are the black sharks USB or are they like the KTE where they plug into a port that goes USB or are they standalone audio jack?

If there are headsets outside of Razer that you'd recommend I am all ears, but I am not in the way to spend 200 plus on them I'd say cap is 150, but I'd like to stay with Razer like muff design, as I have tried Astros and they do not seem to cup/cover or seal the ear as well as Razer has with passed headsets.

Thanks in Advance.
