Lighting not working on Razer Turret keyboard

Got my Razer Turret today from and the lighting on the keyboard does not work at all. When I plugged it in to charge, the mouse lit up but not the keyboard. When it finished charging I hooked it up to my computer and looked at Synapse and it says its at full brightness and doesn't respond at all to me changing the settings unlike the mouse. Keyboard works fine other than that. Is it just defective or is there something I can do to fix this?
