lighting on new blade stopped working

I received my brand new blade15 advanced 2020 model yesterday (on the 18th) at that time the keyboard lights were working. I tried out a few different effects then settled for the wheel effect. I proceeded to set up the computer downloading steam, chrome, changed the laptop name etc. when doing this I disabled through task manager a startup task called “software” which has disappeared from task manager. (This is currently my best theory on what might be the issue.) Then shut down my laptop and went to bed. Today the keyboard lights are not working. I have tried a complete reinstall of Synapse to no effect. Synapse seems to detect the keys, for example it knows which key is being pushed when using the ripple effect but will not activate the lighting. I am currently at a loss on what to do. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

@DeltajulietR This would be rather tricky since you mentioned disabling a process/service via the Task Manager. You may have to look for the said process/service, then re-enable it if performing a clean installation of the app by following the steps from here does not help. You can also run system recovery to try to reset to the factory default if all else fails. Do send me a PM should you need further assistance.

@Michelle-RazerCortexPC Thanks for the tag. :wink_:
