MacOS, Come on its been years

I bought a Tartarus V2 for myself almost 3 YEARS ago, hoping to use the customizable key binds to work in Logic (Yes i'm on Mac not windows) and did not figure out till it was to late that I can not use any of the features of the keyboard unless im on Synapse 3 software, that has yet to be released for Mac.

When I contacted Razer YEARS ago, I was told that they were "working on it". I understand that software can take time to get working, but the fact that it has been YEARS and we still have yet to see even a release date on this is outrageous. I have had a $75 paperweight quite literally collecting dust in my cabinet for far too long and this needs to be changed.

Some people (like me) have no option but to use Mac computers. My profession uses software that is only Mac compatible, and it would be really nice if I could use the products that I bought for work to be used for work. I have always liked Razer products, and would like to use more of their stuff but why would I waste my money on products that I can't use with my computer just because there is still no software for.

It would be nice to see something, anything that shows any sign of them even working on it, a release date or statement that its in the works.

Had Basilisk Ultimate for 2 years. Moved to MacOS. Dumped it. Many keys to bind, none was working.

IMO it's a business decision because they have things like Alexa, Philips and other 3rd party things in the Synapse v3, and on one hand - they can't separate from their co-partners in business, and on the other - because of their co-partnership with Amazon (Alexa) they can't comply with Apple's requirement not to have any 3rd party references in their application in Macintosh's environment. End of story.
That would have been wonderful to know when I called and talked with support last year and was told “it’s being worked on”. I would have returned it if I’d known.

well I know now thank you

RAZER peripheral primary focus is towards gaming.

Apple needs to level up the playing field.

Never considered this, but it's sad they cant roll out a scaled back version that would at least comply and give us the RGB and binding options without all the 3rd party peripheral support.

This is always the problem when you wait for something that’s being worked on. Unless they’ve committed to a release, there’s nothing saying it will ever happen. Sorry you can’t use your device. I’d suggest re-selling it and buying something that will work on Mac OS. Worst case scenario, you could always re-purchase if/when support rolls out. Might be better than watching your “paperweight” lost its value while you’re unable to use it.

if razer really wants a Tartarus for mac users, in my opinion they are more likely to make the Tartarus V3 with fixed resistance improvements of the side controls and possible mac support. but who am I to define a product that razer will launch. I'm just a snoop who keeps giving opinions here in this forum. but here is my suggestion for razer.
