I been researching a lot before buying it. I wanted the programmable lighting and macros and had a hard time deciding on this one and competitor like it.
I did have the impression that the keyboard can work stand a lone without software with it's on board memory
I must of confused it with the competitor. But razer website does say

it should say "Hybrid onboard storage – up to 5 lighting profiles"
so, I still have not figured out how to get the 5 profiles to work from memory and the macros I can only reassign a key, like a single key not a like [ctrl] P to do a sequence, just one key the [ctrl] or the [p], this is not a macro in my opinion, just resigning a key.
anyone has better instructions on how to do this? videos?
