Magnetic USB-C charging cable + Razer Phone

Anyone else tried using a magnetic charging cable?

When the phone was brand new, the 'lightning bolt' symbol appeared on the battery icon on the top right corner - indicating that it was charging. I left it there for 10-20 minutes and if I remember correctly, the phone didn't actually charge.
Setup: Magnetic cable + 2.4A adapter.

I charged the phone using the OEM cable and adapter, downloaded & installed updates.

Tested the magnetic cable again by connecting the cable to the tip attached to the phone, the LED indicator light becomes white, the percentage of the battery will show when in lock screen but the phone won't charge.

Tested the cable & brick on a different USB-C device and it worked properly.

Replaced the 2.4A adapter with a 4.0A one and for ONE moment, the Razer Phone registered as "Charging Slowly".

Unplugged the cable from the magnetic tip and brick, moved to a different outlet and reconnected everything. Nothing.

Would really appreciate tips on how to solve this as having only 1 OEM cable & adapter is too much hassle. The phone gets a lot of use so intermittent charging with magnetic cables at the office, home, and car is a huge thing for me.

It works on my other devices. It's just the Razer Phone that's being a pain.

I looked at the magnetic tip and and saw 4 pins on each side.
On the side that connects to the cable, there are 8 pins.
On the cable itself, there are 4.

However, this doesn't explain why the cables work for my other devices (iPad Air 2, One Plus 5) w/o problems.

Do you have more thoughts regarding this?

I compared it to my OEM and other working cables and found a massive discrepancy. I'll opt to return the cable instead.
