Why is this always so expensive for EU?

Does it have a VGA port? Probably not, but just wondered.

Probably a dumb question given that it has no USB-A ports, but is this compatible with the Seiren X for audio mix-in?

Actually, could I get away with connecting the Seiren's 3.5mm monitoring output to the 3.5 input on the Ripsaw?

I'm pretty sure it's to incentivize european brands, the import tariffs are usually raised for that reason. It's not that high of a tax considering many other factors of the European Union, especially the monetary aid given to ex-soviet countries like Poland :wink_:

  10. The only question here that matters and makes or breaks the purchase of this thing. And to specify 1440p144hz pass through without any gimmicks in capture process like dual monitor setups etc. So can it handle highrefresh signals and if so what signals and what resolutions. 108p240hz, 1440p144hz?

I currently switched to 1440p monitor @ 165hz and it turned my streaming world upside down. I was currently using the live gamer HD which is a pcie capture card and I was unable to properly stream at 720p anymore because of the screen size and screen hz rate. The issue is that you want to take advantage of the nice 600 dollar plus 1440p monitor I just got and the capture card was not allowing me to do that. I tried all the work arounds that I found online and youtube. None of them worked easily and some games just didn't work.

I currently tried this on both the Elgato HD 60 pro and the Avermedia Live gamer HD. Both of these capture cards will force your game to output at 1080p 60.

I tried the extends monitor work around where you have OBS on 2 computers and you use the preview window to get the stream to the other pc, but this is one of the worst visual quality routes you can go. This in my opinion should not be a work around. If people are used to having a 720p 60hz stream, they will be extremely disappointed in this. If you are deciding to do it this way your stream is going to suffer hugely on the quality front. Isn't that the point of having a capture card in the first place. Also there are other inherent issues like audio delay that can be tricky to fix. All I care about with streaming is that the capture card device will not force my main gaming PC into the resolution as the streaming PC. To get the best possible image quality and smooth motion, cloning the main display is the best route.

The question is will the Razer ripsaw HD accept a 1440p signal at 144hz. Im not interested in pass through, and I also not to worried about screen tearing on the streaming pc side.

not only will it not support 1440p at 144hz, it will not support 1440p AT ALL! (even though it is advertised as a supported resolution) just bought one and may have to return it if tech support is unable to get this working with my 1440p monitor.

I had this issue as well. You have to go in and add the Ripsaw HD as an Audio Input Capture source and set that to "Microphone (Razer Ripsaw HD HDMI)" and that should work for you. It took me a while to find this, but it seems to work fine.

Ripsaw HD: Passthrough at 4K as expected, but streaming not correct

Has anyone gotten the passthrough at 4K to work, while also getting their OBS/SLOBS to output the stream at 1080p? The passthrough works great straight to the monitor, but it doesn't appear the input source to OBS/SLOBS is being downscaled to 1080p as i would have expected it to be.

I think I've got it figured out with Xbox One X at least. First stream is today so we'll see! :smile_:
