I mean, if a key breaks do you order a replacement key from razer and replace it, or do you have to replace the entire keyboard?

That's the main difference between mechanicals and membranes/"mechanical feeling" keyboards.

@SOLEdier - you should probably contact either Razer Live Chat or Razer Support Center to get assistance with your issues. They will be the people who have the most up-do-date and accurate information to help you figure out where the issue is and how to fix it. :)

You can replace only one key, but in comparison to BlackWidow - it's hard to get keycaps (because, of it's "propriatary" design, they're not compatible with cherry "+" style keycaps). Some time ago saw few on eBay (from broken keyboard), but I'll try to contact with Razer first.

I don't know in other countries, but in Italy you can find razer switches (only the green ones) also on Amazon if you spend a few time searching

Hey guys! :D I'm new around here, just bought my new Razer Ornata Chroma recently and I'm wondering if I can configure the backlight of the keyboard to display a custom graphic or custom text :D

Besides that, I'm also thinking of ordering some O-Rings, to dampen the sound a bit, my co-workers are hating me :)) Will they do the tricks or they won't do too much?

Who else like the way the keys look like they float on top on the keyboard

Oh my god the effects in that video are AMAZING! I wonder if Razer make their own product videos or hire another company to do it for them. Either way the people who worked on that video did an awesome job.:rainbow:

Glad that you're loving the videos and the special effects put into it. The transformation of the keys is also a testament to the amount of work our engineers and designers have put in to creating a truly unique product.

The Mecha-Membrane switch is currently my favorite at work switch, it provides me with a soft cushion touch of a membrane keyboard but the nice satisfying click of a mechanical keyboard. I'm a incessant typer at work and the Razer Ornata Chroma is something I cannot recommend enough!

I have bought and recommended countless of these typing maestros to friends and family. None have been disappointed by it, and their colleagues have become true converts to the cult as well. Also it earns extra points for Chroma lighting and the plushy wrist rest

Leave some feedback, when you get it :D
I can redeem it today too I love it clicky sound and wrist rest, but maybe I'd go with BWv2, we'll see.

I didn't look into "clicky" so much when I got it so I didn't realize how much different it would be from my reds. But I've already gotten the hang of it mostly in just a few minutes of using it. It presses a bit harder than I'm used to. Certainly quieter but that's because there's less "THANG" vibration sounds from it with the bottom out on rubber.

Colors are bright, wrist rest is comfy. Just makes me insecure about having my phone too close. Maybe next time something slotted instead of magnetic would be ideal just for that reason alone. :)

you think that is better the ornata or the blackwidow because i want to buy a new keyboard but i don't know which buy

I've tried both, and it really depends on what you're looking for. One isn't definitively better than the other.

Go with the Ornata if you want a tactile feel with less key travel distance.
Go with the (BlackWidow) Green switch if you like hearing yourself type.
Go with the Orange switch if you want the tactile feel without the loud noise (it's still kinda loud).
Go with the Yellow switch if you only want key travel distance (no tactile feel).

That's my dream switch right there, matched with big squishy O-rings. That's typers paradise to me!

Now, I just have to come up with a justification for buying a fifth keyboard....
